Story

Just two minutes walk from The Swan Theatre on Southern Lane. Also, only five minutes walk from the town centre towards Old Town. We have our 'Actors Bar', in which you can find many photos of actors and actresses that have visited us. We also have another bar/dining area and our Conservatory Restaurant, which holds up to 40 people. Fine wines, ales and cold lagers served all day. We are a member of the Kennel Club of Great Britian and allow dogs in the long bar.
Dine with us in our rear 40 seater Conservatory Restaurant, in which we offer full table service. We take pre- and post theatre bookings in the restaurant. Sandwiches and light bites served until 5pm, main menu served all day. A selection of roasts are available on Sundays.

Great atmosphere. Good range of beers. My visit would have been made better if only I know. About Dame Judie Dench antics in the toilets. I only wish I’d found out before we popped in for a drink. Also a collection box on the side to help jobbing actors who are short on change . So they can buy the type of beer they want . Instead of settling for a cheaper type wouldn’t be a bad idea. Over we loved it and plan to go again, the next time we’re in the area.

Lovely homely pub. Lovely staff. Great selection of drinks. Amazing views. Great place to take the dog .

Lovely place..food was delicious and staff were great. All good until a naughty little westie bit my hand. No apology from the owners either. They say dogs take after their owners and this one did. Miserable gits  🙄

We love this place, the atmosphere, the staff, excellent food and beer. AND very dog friendly.

The service here is excellent. It's fairly standard, cheapish pub fayre but in a great location and cozy atmosphere. A cut above the rest, but be sure you reserve at peak times.
