This place is such a little gem!, absolutely fantastic. 3 course meal along the peaceful river Avon. The service was impeccable, my hat goes off to all the staff members, professional but welcoming. The 3 course meal was fantastically flavoursome and beautiful to look at Couldn't wait to give my taste buds a thrilling time. From start to finish the cruise was wonderful, the views along the river Avon are lovely. I believe the individual in charge is a lady by the name of Lisa, who I must say is a pleasure to talk to and has a business that deserves all the recognition that it receives. I highly recommend this experience if you're ever visiting Stratford Upon Avon, believe me you are in for a treat. Kind Regards. Raphael
Lovely evening on the Avon River. Diner was nice, especially enjoyed the chicken dish served for main course. Very peaceful with soft music playing while you have diner. Great service.
Lovely experience with friends. Could not fault the staff in any way, they were exceptional, warm and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Food brilliant and very well presented, they even accommodated my fussy needs as I have a garlic intolerance. Beautiful place to stop to stretch our legs and take lovely photos. Would highly recommend, thank you.
My Son treated me to a birthday lunch on the Countess of Evesham yesterday, 22nd August. It was just wonderful from start to finish. We boarded at 12.15, ready for off at 12.30pm. It was an hour and a half cruise along the river, and it was punctual. He had given them a heads up that it was my birthday, and I was touched to find sparkly sprinkles decorating our table when we sat down. The interior is lovely, and you do get a feeling of being 'special' sitting at a beautiful table waiting to set off. The food was perfect. A set menu of 2 courses included in the price. Drinks were extra. Service was great. Attentive, friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend if you want to try something a bit different. We loved it! A beautiful canal boat, superbly decorated and furnished, turned into a mobile floating bar & restaurant. We were part of a coach party run by Jamie's Tours so with 50 or so other guest's we were treated to a delicious 3 course meal with wine which we purchased served by very friendly and professional staff, while we cruised down the river Avon. This was our 3rd visit and we will definitely be going again.
In most respects an excellent evening out, great atmosphere on board, lighting and ambience spot on. Minor quibbles- staff were excellent bar one lady who seemed a bit grumpy, to be fair she looked in charge and was likely doing a hundred things at once, even so customers can pick up on it and it can be a little off putting. Food was okay but for £42 per head should have been much better quality and everybody in our party would have appreciated at least 30 mins at the stop off point, the 10-15 mins we got seemed very rushed. Credit has to go to the pricing of the drinks, most places seem to rip customers off in this respect but I found the pricing very fair, please don’t change that, it actually encouraged our party to buy more! Overall a great night, with some minor improvements as mentioned would give five stars. I would happily return and enjoy this experience again.
We had a private event on the Countess of Evesham on Friday and it was great! Friendly and helpful staff, great festive food and an all round great experience. Would definitely recommend.
There is so much to say about the experience - Even if you are not romanticly inclined ! Being in Shakespeare land aside -this is a must do experience -I have done it twice , once during the day lunch time and once at night dinner Iabsolutley loved every second of the gentle cruise down the river and back - maybe i was lucky and had the best company - but it is one of those moments ill not forget and cant wait to do again - It was over so quickly - The staff were increadible and i cant beleive the food that come out of the tiny kitchen - every bite a perfect chef creation - be very aware i am a very romantic type - and this is the perfect romantic expression ! cannot say just how much i enjoyed it ! poetry in motion xxx
