Poor management! We had a table booked at 12.15 and our food was served to us at 1.30 and could see other people who ordered after us were getting there food before us. So decided to bring this to attention to the staff at the bar away from the restaurant however the manager thought we were being rude to the staff so were pulled away however this was not the case we were just stating our frustration in a polite manner no hash tones used. We had been there many times before and thought it would be nice to celebrate as a family for my mum's birthday however after this experience we will not be returning here due that the lack of customer service not from the floor staff but management! The food wasn't up to standard either the lasagne I ordered was mainly cheese no white cream sauce so over all a flop. Empty glasses were also left to build up when the place wasn't overly busy.
Great Sunday roast, fairly priced and decent portion sizes. Very friendly staff and nice country pub ambiance.
We had a party at the pub back in October and they wouldn’t have been more attentive. The food was great, all as pre ordered but fresh and the staff also decorated the room for the birthday which was not expected but really appreciated. Really looking forward to coming back for a roast.
The Rising Sun pub and restaurant are very welcoming, clean and friendly. The food is really great. We had fish and chips. Great value. It was beautifully done and quick service with a smile. Really fresh food and excellent chef. Nice and cosy fire. Great for kids too as they can run around outside while adults relax on terrace or inside with good view of play area.
We had a very nice birthday meal for my son. Wasn't busy as it was just before new years eve. Five of us enjoyed simple pub grub done well. Good service and staff efficient and friendly. Will eat there again and recommend to my friends
Chicken Caesar salad was a child’s portion but priced at the top end of an adults portion. Need at least two to fill you up. Child’s portion conversely was generous and lovely chicken. Shame they don’t do a proper adults sized chicken salad.
Amazing stunning food. Cosy yet large, warm atmosphere, open fire and very quick service. Try it and find out for yourself. Fillet steak with Diane sauce, mushrooms, chips, salad and coleslaw just perfect.
Had dinner at the rising sun last night and it was absolute perfection starters main and pudding all faultless ,service was quick polite and friendly from the moment we walked in , will definitely be back to try the roast
Nice restaurant fitted us in last minute, food was good and the price was good as well. Lovely staff!
Great Sunday lunch, we both had the multi meat roast and there was plenty of veg and a crsipy yorkshire pud. The staff were attentive and friendly. Would return again if ever back in the area
