Stopped here on Saturday with couple of friends on the bicycles. Great little vilage pub with big garden. Good selection of beers, ales and especially CIDERS cloud 9, be careful quite tasty
A beautiful pub in a wonderful setting that proudly presents itself as what it is. A friendly comfortable hospital place for friends family and visitors alike. Serving food that has never failed to impress. An establishment proud to be exactly what it is and not pretending to be something it's not. Add to this it's village centre importance and year round welcome and the package is complete. Thank you.
Definitely in my top 10 pubs in the world. Great beer, relaxed local, good food, in a bit of a time capsule but in a good way. Been back many times. Always a good pint. Had a lovely burger as well this time.
Friendly staff, great atmosphere. A traditional local with friendly locals. A pub which values your business.
Proper English country pub Everything to like here Decent food and drink And reasonable prices
The pub garden is beautiful and has absolutely beautiful scenery, but the food takes very long. About 45 minutes to an hour for a sandwich! It’s quite nice but if you’re impatient I don’t recommend it.
Great pub, highly recommended. Didn't eat here but food looked fantastic. Great location
great location. great character pub. good selection of food. but a little pricey. the good: great village location character pub good selection of food. but be quick. things were being rubbed off the menu by 1pm serving to 2.30pm the not so good: our reserved table wasn't available to start with. all tables had been booked so had to rejig table settings to fit us in. plant milks aren't kept in for coffee/teas guinness had run out food can work out quite pricey fairly small fish pie w/ salad £13.50 coffee £3.50 overall would recommend. but for special occasions only really.
This is a beautiful place with good beers, exquisite pub food, friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere.
Stopped here for a pint or two on bank Holiday Monday part the way around an 11 mile walk. Despite concerns that the pub might be closed, found it was open, and had a couple of very good pints. Would visit again. Chip van in the car park also provided some much need sustenance!
