Food is getting worst over the time. Pub itself is nice the kids area is great for the kids, but the food is not the best. Last time there there was a bit of plastic in the kids ice-cream, spoken with the manager and we didn't get not even an apology. Tried again this week but will be the last time here for food, really poor food.
Sunday Lunch was delicious, Roast Turkey for myself and my Son had a Pizza. Roast was plentiful, tasty and piping hot. Handmade Pizza was very much enjoyed. Staff, attentive and welcoming. Enjoyed so much I’ve visited again on the Saturday, great lunch, spotless pub and great staff.
Met here with friends and my friends little girl. Great that it has the soft play area and there was a little party going on. We had BLT sandwiches and skin on chips. Really tasty food and very reasonable price. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Will come definitely come again :
Honestly, this place has been hit and miss over the years. But the current management have made such a difference. The food is consistently good, pizza especially, the staff are great and the log burner is a nice touch. If you have kids they have a soft play area, however our kids are too old for that so we prefer to sit at the other side of the restaurant. It's big enough to escape the noise with little cosy corners for just a few or larger areas for a good old get together. Great pub, decent food, nice atmosphere.
We have been here a couple times for lunch. They are accommodating. We had a bit of an issue as we brought our dog but didn't realise there are certain areas that dogs aren't allowed. The food was pretty standard. It's a great venue if you have kids though with a soft play in the pub.
Great pub for families if you don't mind sitting in the loudest pub / restaurant in the world. The sand pit and soft play area must be well appreciated by families but not a quite pleasant place to eat or drink at the weekend. Food can be a little hit and miss but not had an overly bad experience until now. Stopped in for a quiet drink today, couldn't hear myself think over the screaming kids a deafeningly loud TVs. I mean it was rediculously loud in there I couldn't wait to get out Moved tables twice to get away from the noise but it was like sitting in a busy creche!!! Not to mention the 'Adult dining area' being full of loud kids aswell so no chance of that quiet drink!!! Overall not a good experience and this won't be my first choice of place to drink again.
We had a wonderful visit to The Angles Sunday evening! Brilliant service from the manager Brad who went the extra mile even though we hadn’t booked, we had two lovely roast beef dinners which was a pleasant surprise it being so late in the day. Finished off with some of Brads cocktails which were great value compared to other places in town. We look forward to our next visit :
Visited for Sunday lunch was seated by Gemma who offered pigs in blankets while we decided on drinks and food which was a lovely touch to get us started. Kristen was our server who was very friendly and food was lovely. As we were all adults it was nice to be seated away from all the children. An excellent visit we will be back again.
We always have fab service and good food! Today we was greeted by the wonderful Kate ! We actually lost our dad/grandad yesterday and her smile and joy was just so amazing to be greeted with. I hope she realises the impact she had on us today, what a wonderful human being <3
Has a great time. Lovely food and friendly service though very, very slow clearing the table. Online reservation system isn't good and nearly spoiled the afternoon as we specifically needed to sit by the soft play area, but staff were able to sort it luckily, thank you.
