Some of the best oysters I’ve had in my life, and I’ve had a fair bit. Beautiful and flavourful and the price is fantastic. It was soo good we went back for seconds. We got the 6Medium for £11 and honestly it was a piece of heaven. The guys are also fantastic and very kind.
Repeat customer ! Had the middle and large oysters ! The large one are a little saltier as recommended! Fresh and popular by lunch! Choice of Tabasco sauce and 2 other store sauces with ample lemon slices !!! Hunt it down at the borough market! Oh, the cheese toasties across this shop is also awesome!
For us , all was fine. We had a nice experience here. We ordered 2 pieces of large and 6 pieces of medium size. The taste was good , fresh and much better when we drink it with Prosecco. I would suggest to order medium size as it seems better.Food: 4/5
May I suggest to go for the medium oysters. Decent enuff. But refrain from ordering too many at one goal as some will be generally smaller and not the freshest. U can ask to exchange for any oysters U deemed not appealing. Had the rose. Not bad. I prefer this stall than the other stalls becos the turnover is faster.
Had the oysters on 30 January for lunch. Paid £7.5 for 4 medium oysters but got severe vomiting, hands numbness, chilling, lost of appetite on 31 January night. To be accurate, I vomited 3 times the whole night, woke up at 3:30am, 4am and 6am to vomit and sat down on the toilet floor with no energy at all after vomiting. I could barely walk. It’s a horrible nightmare. Had to cancel some important work appointments because of severe sickness. I have to emphasise usually even though I feel sick, I seldom call sick because that’s work, this time my body couldn’t handle it and I could not work so you can imagine how serious it is. I tried many oyster places before but not like this one, the most serious sickness ever. Read the reviews here and it seems I’m not the only one. Stay away from this place.
Amazing oysters, great service, good selection of sparkling wines to go with them right in the market.Food: 5/5
We had raw oysters at Richard's on Thursday 15 February, and we got super super ill with salmonella. It's the worst experience ever, never felt this bad from food poisoning. Vomiting, diarrhea, fever... We are still struggling a week later.Food: 1/5
My absolute favourite place to get oysters. Had a dozen large, free flow sauces, tobacco and champagne deals are available. Lovely fresh, briny, generous, well prepared oysters. Fantastic.
A must have at Borough Market! The oysters are fresh and delicious. You can choose between the Mersea Rock Oysters or the Colchester Native Oyster. Tried the Colchester Native and it was fantastic!Food: 5/5
I took advantage of a special offer at Borough Market for Richard Howard Oysters. I purchased a half-dozen of their medium rock oysters for just £11, and it was an absolute steal. The oysters were incredibly fresh, and their taste was exquisite. Each one had a perfect balance of brininess and sweetness, and the texture was delightful. The shells were clean and well-presented, indicating the high quality of the oysters. I was thoroughly impressed with the value for money that this offer provided. If you're a fan of oysters and happen to come across this special deal, I highly recommend trying Richard Howard Oysters. You won't be disappointed!"
