A hidden beer and sausage bar underground in London. If you want beer by the litre and sausages and sauerkraut then this is the place to gom litrea of beer are about £9 each and present pretty good value for money. The food is of a good quality and the place is huge. It's very basic benches and tables with not a lot else down there but it's great for groups and is good value for money. If you have a big group if suggest this place. Have some food and drink and spend a few hours here!

I need to share my ludicrous customer service story at Katzenjammers. I ordered a pint of the fruit beer. It's tasty, but it's a solid £6 a pint. Half way through pouring my drink, the keg runs out. I'd say it got a few centimetres past the half pint line. Rather than wait for them to change the barrel, I asked the barlady if she could just sell me what she'd poured as half a pint. She says OK THEN PROCEEDS TO GET A HALF PINT GLASS, AND STARTS POURING THE BEER FROM THE PINT GLASS TO THE HALF PINT GLASS. Normally as a true Brit I would sullenly accept this madness, but just this once I actually called her out on it and asked to see the manager to ask why on earth they would waste the beer, the time and the additional glassware, just so I didn't get a little bit extra beer for my money. Ludicrous. Having said that, fantastic venue, great atmosphere and brilliant live music!

Great food and beer! The cellar room can get pretty loud so be prepared to be loud if you want to be heard. Beer comes in up to two pint Stein tankards. Entertainment downstairs most days is traditional Bavarian music with lots of booming brass instruments. Atmosphere is warm and friendly. Good for large parties.

Went here with a couple of work mates last Friday, it was a nice quirky place with large sized enjoyable beers! I think I would visit again but maybe when it's a little quieter? It was absolutely jam packed on Friday, was a struggle to move! Thank God they opened up downstairs which allowed for more space, the food was lovely AND they played some good music! Lovely atmosphere, once there was more space it was more enjoyable. As it got later it did begin to fill up again though. Overall it was okay, I had a nice time and definitely would visit again

I spend time on the lower ground floor. Which requires you to book in advance. Their was a brass band playing. Which is really nice and the atmosphere is lively. It is extremely crowded on a Saturday night. The waiting time to get a drink at the bar is half hour. So i suggest you make most of your orders at the beginning. The sausage selection is super. The staff are very fast and polite. The presentation of the food is also nice. I do suggest sitting a few tables away from the stage as it does get very loud with the band.
