I am a Ribble owner of many years and looking to upgrade once supply gets back to some normality. I called in the Mailbox store due to being in Birmingham on business and met Ed. What a nice guy, chatting about the range, the new Ultra, frame details, the in-store bike fit, my current bike and cycling in general. I live in the North West and have previously dealt with Preston, I am intending to go to the Clitheroe showroom soon but I must admit I am considering going back to see Ed when I place my order, maybe you should transfer him to Clitheroe for the day purely selfish idea obviously . Well done Ribble, nice store and knowledgeable staff, I will to a store very soon…
Ordered the ribble ultra after selling my canyon aeroad. At first it all seemed good, was excited to get my new bike despite the wait till September. It’s now December and the bike has been pushed back into 2023 causing me to miss races and vital training before my European champ qualifiers. In the shop I was assured it would arrive in time, don’t fall for their sales tactics as they had no idea whether it would or not they just wanted me to hand over my money. Costumer service has been terrible, no communication, no reasons why the bike is delayed, no compensation and frankly no care on their end. No one offers any help just sorry it will now be ready at such a date. As someone that’s had many bikes, brands that are on a similar price band like canyon are far better. Don’t make the mistake I did and buy ribble as yes their products may be good, but you will never receive them!
Tl;dr Absolutely appalling customer service and communication. Initially ordered a bike explicitly advertised as 48hr delivery. One week later and this hadn't even left the warehouse. It was agreed that I would exchange this order for a separate bike and pay the difference. What followed was three weeks of very poor communication about exchanging orders, paying differences and confirming shipping. As a result I opted to cancel my order entirely and receive a refund for a product that I hadn't even received in the first place. Since then, I have been told repeatedly that my refund would be processed "tommorow". I am now five days after the first 'tomorrow' and still no refund. Absolute joke of a company that are meant to pride themselves on how they interact with their customers.
Terrible customer service! Tried to amend an order within seconds of placing it, and was told it had been amended. Didn't receive confirmation, so i checked multiple times over the next 2 weeks and was always told it had been amended and everything was fine. I was then contact 6 weeks later by a manager in their customer service team, who told me that they were unable to amend my order and that I had to cancel and re-order. He assured me that if i ordered without the custom paint work then I would still get my order in October originally ordered in July. My order has now been delayed three times since, and the "expected build date" is now mid December!! This bike was listed on their site as "in stock!" Absolute sham of a place, take the money all upfront and just lie to you constantly.
Great place to visit. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Was great chatting to the guys and seeing top of the lines bikes. They are pretty unique in terms of selecting custom colours and essentially building the bike you want. You can also ring them and talk to and see an expert in the warehouse. Great experience to make the right decision if you are buying an expensive bike.
Great customer service! I bought my very first road bike a few weeks ago; I’ve been on a few bike rides now and the bike is perfect They get your bike ready so when you come to collect it in the store it’s ready to ride. Special thanks to Eduard, who helped us a lot and even attached the cleats to my cycling shoes.
Was in a sticky situation with a tubeless tyre puncture on the way home, and I popped into Ribble with my CGR with desperation for a pump. They were so kind and helpful even though I made a huge mess on the posh floor with sealant and helped me get back on the road trying several things and eventually cleaning my wheel and popping a tube in and would refuse to take anything for it. Thanks so much for saving my bacon
Went in to the Mailbox store on Sunday, after going in the previous week. Spoke with both Edward and Charlie. Both really helpful and knowledgeable, no high pressure sales.. Just helpful and great guys. Edward measured me up on their bike jig. Got the right fit, went through the different specs and permutations of the bike, got a build code, went home and ordered an Ultra SLR enthusiast. Only problem is now I have to wait for it! They are a real asset to the Ribble brand.
Just ordered my new Ribble from the store in the Mailbox. The customer service was second to none. Mostly I dealt with Edward but the other staff chipped in with welcome advice from time to time. It gave me fantastic peace of mind to use the bike fit service before ordering so that I'm confident my new bike will be a perfect fit. It was great to deal with fellow cyclists who were happy to spend time explaining everything. Edward then very patiently went through every option on the bike builder explaining the pros and cons of the various choices. Nothing was too much trouble, he even found me some disposable gloves so that I could test the various thicknesses of bar tape on the display models. I'm super excited about my new bike and can't wait to get it out on the Warwickshire country lanes. If the bike is half as good as the service in store then I'm going to be very happy.
I went to the Birmingham shop and the experience was fantastic. No pressure selling and the staff were extremely helpful. Being able to get a bike sized perfectly, using the jig, is just incredible. Advice was in abundance and everything was explained in detail. That in itself is priceless. I must say a massive thank you to Edward who went through everything with me, although I'm sure the other members of the team would have given the same high level of service. It's great to deal with proper cyclists who can give you the right guidance and information. Would I recommend Ribble? Absolutely, you won't be disappointed.
