Good to see so many people valuing the service; and it is undoubtedly convenient for the University/Hospital. However, I’m afraid Urban Cycles operate at times like they are shooting fish in a barrel. Their skills, while limited appear sufficient to cash in on the non-discerning rich kids who attend Birmingham Uni. After a couple of very poor experiences (overcharging and not fixing the problem), I decided the convenience was not worth the trouble. I now use the slightly less convenient though far superior (and cheaper in my experience) Birmingham Bike Foundry.

I had a severe chain mechanical when cycling in the rain to the University of Birmingham campus one Wednesday in summer 2017. Ros put the chain back in its place. It then happened once more but this time, it was entirely my own fault. Chain bent and it was difficult to ride. Andi replaced the chain on this occasion. Ros re-adjusted the front derailleur (for free!) Andi and Ros have helped me on numerous occasions with the bike. They show a care for bikes that I have yet to see with other bike retailers. They are both knowledgeable and a joy to speak to. May your bike venture continue to prosper those around you.

I am thrilled with the service I received. It feels as though I have a brand new bike. I have no hesitation in recommending Andi and Urban Cycles.
