It's a super little park with lovely walled garden ,I'd give it five stars but on one set of steps most of them are broken and dangerous-can see a council claim happening here! Very dog friendly- lots of people walking dogs. Some beautiful flowers in the walled garden with different species of bees.Id like a public convenience placed here because a picnic or longer visit is not advised due to there being no toilets at present. Some picnic benches and park benches sited around the park would improve the relaxing feel .
This is a lovely old-fashioned little park, tucked away in the suburbs. There is an interesting history, explained on several information boards. There are some large, old, impressive trees as well as big open spaces and secluded walks. There are also flower gardens and a yew garden. The walled garden has huge, spectacular walls in sandstone and old brick. Well worth a visit.
Interesting and different public park, numerous signs can be seen that it was once part of a significant garden. The walled garden in late summer is great with seriously good dahlia beds. Also very good rose beds.
Love this place, if there is a calmer or quieter park in Liverpool then i don't know it and a stunning walled garden in the summer.
Great park with mixture of formal gardens and open spaces with mature trees.
Very nice park hidden away. Lots of open spaces to sit and a forested area.
Amazing place to visit with pets or even for a stroll. There's large variety of plants for great pictures and even a great village to visit nearby.
Lovely park with lots of nooks & crannies to explore. A hidden gem.
Lovely well kept park, lots of wildlife and dog walker's.
Lovely well maintained gardens with a variety of flora and fauna. A walled garden, maintained topiary, ana a number of seats around the space. An overall really lovely green space to enjoy. Dog-friendliness: Lots of fellow dog walkers, some on and off lead. Dog bins available. Walled flower garden is on lead, rest is by choice.
