A daughter's friend recommended this park with a great café. As it was a rainy day it was relatively quiet...it a great find, the The Reader cafe, book shop & coffee shop makes this park a perfect morning or afternoon trip out. The park has many gardens within it, the Japanese garden, the sensory garden & the old English garden. Play area to entertain the kids & a great place to walk the dogs.
Come here quite often to visit this lovely park and gardens. They have a lovely little cafe which you can sit inside and outside which is very popular even during the week. There's also an ice cream shop in a courtyard with benches, too. Restrooms: There are toilets inside and outside around by the cafe. Dog-friendliness: Yes, this is a dog friendly park. Picnic area: There are picnic benches dotted around the grass area.
An absolutely lovely park, very spacious and lots of wooded areas as well as the Mansion house. Lovely lake area and lots of walking routes around the park. Great for dog walkers and lots of litter bins. Playground: Quite a big playground for kids and looks like it is well used. Very popular near the mansion house. Restrooms: Only one restroom near the mansion house, but well maintained. Dog-friendliness: Well visited by dog walkers ,plenty of routes for them to run. An absolute abundance of wooded areas for them to have a wander and rummage. My dog thoroughly enjoyed the wooded areas. It is advisable to put them back on the lead when in the more public areas of the park as there are small children in these areas. Picnic area: Yes there are picnic areas and places to sit down and enjoy the park.
I have been to this park few times. It’s very dog friendly and beautiful. There is a coffee shop on site, toilet and a bookstore. They also have a building on site that host events. The children play area is a bit decent and they have temporary fun parks on site during summer holidays. Overall a very good park.
Great park, very large with lakes on open areas for recreational activities. Lots of wildlife and mature trees. Downsides are it’s not maintained very well with potholes in the walkways been there many years and rubbish cans overflowing from rubbish sometimes. Apart from these, and the local council not doing their job for the community, it would had 5 stars.
This is one of the most beautiful parks in Liverpool and is well worth a visit. The wildlife here is unreal. It's just utterly stunning. Coffee is some of the best I've had and the cafe is dog friendly which is lovely. Massive umbrellas over the cafe outside tables to. We went on a middy day and it was still a perfect day.
A wonderful park with old trees, especially the 1000-year-old Allerton Oak. The park has a lovely coffee where you can enjoy a good coffee.
Best park in Liverpool, it has a Cheshire ICE Cream Farm store there so by far the nicest ice cream. It's a good place to walk the dog, and the kids can play on the playground. Playground: Large playground for kids with slide, swings and a few other bits Restrooms: Clean restrooms Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly
Lovely park to walk around or exercise. The trees are spectacular with all the autumn colours. The park itself isn't maintained as it previously was. This is due to the local council budget cuts. The park is steeped in history and has a cafe and function rooms in the main building.
A very beautifull place with fresh air and close to nature, for spend a special sunny Sunday! Playground: Happy children with bikes, scooters, friesbee, baloons and a beautifull place to play! ‍‍‍ Restrooms: Dog-friendliness: Dogs paradise,a large space to run and play,a lot of friendly dogs enjoy the beautifull place! Picnic area: Large area, fresh grass, cut and clean, aloud with grill for tasty barbeque!
