Sefton Park Palm House is an Iconic Victorian Glass House that houses around 200 plants that are extremely rare and unique. The plant collection is obtained from 5 continents. You are mesmerized with so many different varieties of plants under one roof. We visited on 2nd June 2024 for an event. It was our first visit and we were really impressed with such botanical collection. Outside the Palm House there were Statues of renowned people like Christopher Columbus, Charles Darwin etc… Restrooms: Are available at the basement with access via stairs and elevator for anyone using wheelchair.
Well worth a visit. Lots of beautiful plants. A great coffee stand serving teas coffee and some cakes, although we didn't try them they looked good! There was live music on when we were there which was great and added to a lovely afternoon. There are books around to borrow so you can sit and read. Lovely place.
Beautiful building in Sefton Park. Inside is packed full of exotic plants. Great coffee shop here. A programme of events also runs Restrooms: Really modern and clean bathrooms in the basent
What a beautiful and historic green house. Absolutely worthwhile visiting. Occasionally closed for public access due to private events like birthday or wedding parties.
This Palm house is small but it's gorgeous! The best part are the volunteers who managed the place: very knowledgeable, welcoming and always there to help us and answer any questions. Beautiful place with beautiful people. The cafe is brilliant and we were so lucky it was sunny we managed to take some lovely photos. Please make a donation, they are doing a wonderful job with this place.
I would highly recommend you going to a concert at Sefton Park Palm House. Last night, my friends and I went to the palm house where a string quartet performed a candlelight tribute to Coldplay & The Imagine Dragons. The scene was further enhanced by listening to music as the sky changed from light to dark. Seeing and hearing the rain fall on the glass, watching the string quartet perform amongst the sea of candles, and being in the company of large tropical plants was truly magical. There were plenty of car parking spaces available, and the staff were both efficient and friendly.
Popped in on the way back from Liverpool. Lovely park as well as interesting Palm House. Has little snack bar and good toilets!
Huge and beautiful park with a tropical palm garden with variety kind of tropical plants from different countries fair to go and have a calm walking
We visited the park on a lovely day. The Palm House was hosting a spring festival with some food and arts crafts vendors. There was music and a friendly atmosphere.
Stumbled upon this beautiful building by accident and was happily surprised! The architecture is next level and the atmosphere inside is so warm, cozy, and green. There was a performance going on when I got there and it was very cute. Admission is free but there’s a cafe inside so you can support it. This place is magical.
