We popped for a swift half while waiting for a bus from the rail station. Good everyday pub, had an enjoyable band on when we went in Saturday night. Didn't check the beer selection, but I don't remember it being too expensive.
Being on the Cask-Mark ale trail, you know the beer will be acceptable if nothing else. This establishment is across the road from the main Bristol railway station and has all the signs of a 'well used' establishment. Handy for a quickie drink, for heavens sake before the train comes. Features live music on a random basis
I might be a bit generous with this review. Great position near Temple-Mead Station. Very quiet with just four people in there at 3pm. Lack of decor I can handle but the big bugbear is that they don't take cards... only cash. I got caught out and was saved by a fellow customer. So if anything customers are great.
Bit of a dive. Music venue that likes it's rock so not bad. Guess it was hard to gauge an atmosphere because next to no one was in. Nice enough to have a drink in if you missed your train
A bit of a spit and saw-dust type place, but handy for Temple Meads station, has a good selection of ales and ciders. Plays host to live music most weekends, mainly covers and tribute bands, but also occasionally local and national touring bands.
Brilliant pub serves Addlestone Cider great bands in evenings. Good old rockers bar. Great place to wait for the next train from Temple Meads.
I'll tell you 2 things that sum up this place. First, I never saw the pint of ale I was served actually poured; it just appeared from under the counter. Secondly, my friend used the toilet and refused to wash his hands afterwards because the facilities were so filthy. We left 3 near-full pints. Absolutely rancid place. Avoid.
Friendliest pub ever, with fast service. And great beers, although spirits were limited and some basics missing altogether. Clean, but looked tired and worn.
I often end up here when waiting for a train. Perfectly nice pub, which I obviously like or I wouldn't come back. A friendly local crowd, but not really a "destination".
Great beer right opposite temple meads more of a rockers bar weekend evenings . Very plain decoration built for capacity
