Used to go here when I was at uni 2008-2012. Lovely, friendly, inclusive environment in which I was very happy. I felt invited into my friend's world and thoroughly enjoyed my time.
Staff here were great generally happy and kind 'after a slight problem the Staff reacted quick and effective and made sure we were all OK I would say it definitely one of the more safe clubs in the area. Music was good choice a mixture of everything and drink were priced well it wasn't too busy which was nice as we had room to ourself which is isn't always easy in a busy club A big thank you to all the staff
Came here last night as a group of 5 and unfortunately had some men harassing us and making us feel very uncomfortable. One man dragged one of the group away who was very drunk and as I followed I saw him give her a water which I immediately took off her and immediately a member of staff appeared with a closed bottle of water and kept an eye on us. We were on the dance floor and we had another man that wouldn't leave us alone and man with tattoos I'm not sure if he was staff but said he has been going there since he was 16 and was now mid or late 30s and he was pitting himself in between us and the men that wouldn't leave us alone. We ended up leaving because it got to a point where men were coming up to us from every angles and as soon as we left a younger member of staff I would say early 20s came straight out to talk to us and make sure we were OK. I needed to go back in to go to the toilet before we fully left and he came in with me and waited outside the door and escorted me back out and I've never felt more safe in town and I really appreciated how safe all the staff made us feel. Would definitely recommend. Ive been in there a number of times and never had an issue but unfortunately there were just some men out that were making us uncomfortable so we had to leave early but all of the staff were amazing and helped us all feel very safe and comfortable. There wasn't one time I felt like if I was left alone I was going to be in danger because all of the staff kept a very close eye on us.

While the staff are helpful and friendly many of the people who attend don't respect consent or boundaries. And my friend was subjected to a racist complaint made by another person who accused him of predatory behaviour, and was chucked out which was distressing to him as an Asian man as he was mistaken for someone else. If queenshilling prides itself as being a safe space they should condemn racist behaviour and not let the racist person back into the bar.
Without doubt the friendliest and safest club in Bristol - a great night out for all here.

The most ignorant bar in Bristol. The door man refused us entry and told us he didn't need a reason Their loss will never return In reply to my review on google, well all I can say is as a Brighton based Drag Artist and a previous cabaret bar owner first impressions coumt and the attitude of your door staff whether third party or not and the venue manager slagging off the place too him has certainly left a lasting impression, we were only visiting Bristol for a few days and your the 2nd bar to leave a negative impression on the place and do not worry a drag queens rapor can do more damage than good and the negative inpact I have recieved will be added to my next show.
Amazing gay club in Bristol, it's been going for years one of the first clubs I went to back in the early 00's! So friendly and welcoming! The music is always a really good mix of dance and pop and get up and dance classics, generally it's busy especially on the weekends. This place is not to be miss if you are looking for a fun night out. I've never come across any trouble there!
