I attended the A&E SDEC. 02 May 25.nVery disorganised, inefficient and time-wasting department. Very poor engagement and poor communication between staff and staff and patients. At one point I was even told told that they could not find me on the list and maybe I was discharged accidentally. The members of the staff apart from 2 looked like observers or moving slowly and aimlessly.nI self discharged after 7-8 hours without being seen by a doctor as was lucky enough to breathe better and after self treating while waiting to be seen .nDuring my staying in SDEC I had vital signs checked twice, I had bloods samples taken which obviously were not be reviewed as I left and a cannula inserted with no plan for intravenous medication just as standard for all patients. So no individualised care, but waste of resources, when all I needed urgent was. something to improve my breathing.
Worse place to come for treatment,,,, no communication between doctors and nurses,,,,,and all the patients are confused about when they will see the doctor???nl am writing this review while sitting in SDEC area with my 4 months pregnant wife from last 14 hours and still no one has seen her,,,,,,,nAvoid Avoid Avoid,,,,,
arrived at Queens at 5.30pm, my brother had DKA. within 2 hours he was in resus then on a ward straight away after leaving resus. this hospital gets a lot of bad reveiws but it has really improved in the last 2 years
I was able to get in and out of the Urgent Treatment department within 50mins. I had prepared to hunker down for 4+ hours, with water, food and hot drinks.nnI was triaged quicky and efficiently and Dr Kabir had an excellent manner. I was very appreciative of the service.nnThe hospital was clean and had a good range of shops and retail outlets for keeping you occupied while waiting.
We arrived at Queen’s Hospital Emergency Department at 7:15 PM with my one-year-old daughter, who had a high fever of 39.1°C. It is now 10:00 PM, and we are still waiting to be seen. Despite repeatedly informing the receptionist of the urgency of our situation, we have seen adults with minor injuries being prioritized, which is completely unacceptable.nnMeanwhile, my daughter’s temperature continues to rise, yet no one seems to be taking this seriously. To make matters worse, I overheard a staff member speaking unprofessionally about us with the receptionist, which is both disrespectful and unprofessional.nnThe level of care and organization here is disgraceful. If I could give zero stars, I would.
