Absolute joke of a place!! I had my car booked in for an MOT today, dropped it off at 9AM. I had heard nothing all day until i phoned myself at 4:30pm! After phoning I was then told it had failed and they had already started the work and my car won’t be ready until 11AM tomorrow!! They told me my bill would be £400 for a change of front brake pads and a wiper!! They did not phone me to inform me of any work that needed to be done and then when I told them i do not want them to do any work on the car they then said they would phone me back to let me know what had been done already. They did not phone back so when my Mom phoned back they then lied and said I gave permission to them to carry on doing it even though I was with several people who heard the conversation. I then told them I do not want the work done and I’m coming to pick my car up. I got there and they are changing the pads on the car!! It then took them only 15 minutes to remove the pads and replace the wheels!! HOW DOES THIS CONSTITUTE TO 3 HOUR WORTH OF LABOUR COSTS OF £220!!! They then lied and said that they had tried to call me so I showed them I had not received any calls and they said “oh”. I have never received such awful service for my car!! They are here to rip people off and I could not warn anyone off this car garage enough!! They were sarcastic and extremely unprofessional. I will not be returning here again. I will be reporting them to the Motoring Ombudsman and I will be getting a second opinion for my MOT.
! WARNING! Fake reviews, no reviews on website!? The owner is a scammer! Did not provide a quote for work until 3 days later when work had already been carried out, then gives me a ridiculous price minus the VAT which wasn't made clear to me. Changed 2 tyres instead of 1 as agreed. £444.00 +VAT labour charges for changing hand brake cables 2 hour job according to other local businesses. The total bill came to £1449.00. I could have gone to the dealership and had the work carried out cheaper, that's probably why they didn't contact me with a quote. Communication is extremely poor and as far as I'm aware illegallooking into this with dealership, please don't use this garage and spread the reviews they don't deserve the custom. I will be presenting my complaint to the motoring ombudsman and anyone else who has been treated this way needs to as well! As you can see from the response to my review the owner has no interest in addressing an issue with his customers and would rather attack them personally and make wild accusations, very professional!.
Rang up here for my mates car, warm welcoming staff, straight to the point on what work would be required with a very good, affordable price range for the work. The workload itself did not take long to complete and my friend could not be happier so thank you guys posting on there behalf as they have no internet would definitely recommend these guys to others out there!
Unfortunately over the space of two years excess of £3000 pound add to scrap my car the communication and overpricing is terrible and when you try to speak to them face to face they fob you off and you get the feeling they are being underhand and hiding something leave to make a phone call then arrange to sell to a scrap person for next to nothing then you find out they are repairing it?? WARNING! Be aware you will get ripped off!
The staff were very friendly and informative, i felt that they were very knowledgable. The communication was good during the day whilst i was awaiting to hear about the work required to fix my overheating van, unfortunately the autoelectrician wasn't available for a further 5 days which is no good when the van is required as my regular form of transport. This garage is also very expensive in my opinion considering only two hours of investigation was done. This is not my regular garage stourbridge MOT and repairs are much cheaper, my last repair with them cost £135 and that was a caliper plus fitting but was handy because it was nearby at the time and available to look at my van the following day whilst my usual garage was closed. If the prices were more fair i would definitely return to this garage!
Do not use this garage for you car repairs. They have recently been taken over. I used them for years when the old owner had this garage They were always reasonable. I recently had an MOT and they charged me 2 hour labour for changing 2 headlamp bulbs at £79 an hour. PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE .
Top mechanics with a fountain of knowledge, I've taken one BMW and two Audis there... I now use them for everything, you never get a shock on cost great reliable garage, garage with communication, that keeps you informed what's going on I've give them 6* if I could.
Have been bringing our cars to Prestwood for thirty years and in all of that time I can tell you they have never ever let us down over anything. Over the years people have come and gone…always kind and courteous and over and over they have helped us with unexpected problems, given advice, got us back on the road and given us reassurance. Cannot recommend too highly. They are the best. Grateful to them!
Once again amazing service from the team at prestwood. Helped me with my car and saved the day when no other garage could fit me in
Came down from milton keynes for a meeting and i had a blow out on my car only garage who could do it there and thenwas prestwood very fair and always happy to help
