I would say out of most of the Premier Inns we’ve been to this has been the most chaotic they don’t have enough staff they’ve got management trying to run the reception desk and also breakfast and also dinner as well so when you call people on the buzzer you wait 10 nearly 15 minutes and no one comes And if you need assistance or need help there’s no one there then at breakfast the same service issues are still there where they don’t have half the continental stuff restocked or replenished empty bowls with yoghurt is meant to be they don’t have enough white bread. I don’t have any hot chocolate out. They don’t have any of the pastries or the bakeries because I don’t have enough out and they’re not being restocked or replenished because I don’t have enough staff to serve the people coming in and to get rid of any empty stock and also replenish everything as well they’ve got the managers running around doing this trying to run the hotel and then also trying to run reception and then that’s the same with dinner and this is the whole problem with this hotel is so dysfunctional as a hotel. I just don’t have the management and it’s just completely chaotic and I don’t have stock and you’re paying 899 per, continental breakfast and the service is just shocking. I just chaotic every single day try and get any help at reception about things no one’s there because they all trying to help out at breakfast or dinner as the same problem and then when checking in they don’t have enough staff so there’s only one person as a massive line of people waiting and then you can’t check in early and you normally you can pay £15 or some people usually just allow you to check in a little earlier just so there’s not a queue after 2 o’clock we were our-ish early and the Indian manager was quite abrupt and quite rude about it all and he seems to have a problem with us as a couple and I don’t see what the issue is when my partner confronted him about it then he was all very willing to give us the room but I mean it was a short live because the room had two singles not one double for what we’ve paid for, so I had a very bad night at the first night and didn’t sleep very well. Last two nights were better. The older gentleman who was a manager is fantastic. I don’t need the rest are very good either and another manager just very mediocre and yeah there’s no apologies. There’s no going extra mile or you know being friendly and you know I’m going to guests that just doesn’t seem to happen here. Everyone’s just running about and the customer is just forgotten even the Britannia hotel which is in Bromsgrove is offering better service and they’ve got two staff members on their breakfast and absolutely fine. They can employ staff for reception. They can employee staff for everything they need and still offer a pretty good service same like the other Travelodge and the holiday in the very close to this one. a lot of people were complaining on a lot of people were very upset with this particular hotel and I can really see why of how poorly is been managed and customers have to pay the price
Stayed here for nights recently. Great location at the cricket club and a short walk to the city centre. The room was clean and comfortable. It was very quiet too. All the staff I spoke to were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very tasty too. A good selection on the buffet. I also really like how it started from 6.30 so I can get in early.
Arrived in the evening and checked in using the self service. It wasn't registering my details so a young lady came out to assist with programming the key card. The room was comfortable, but as a solo female would of preferred a room that wasn't next to fire escape. I stayed a week and asked for a room clean. I dont think the sheets were changed as they were creased and itchy. There was a limited menu the first 2 days due to there not being a chef. Louise the server, receptionist, bar staff was very friendly and looked after us very well.nnThe black guy behind the bar i didnt get his name was great and was helpful when we asked for food options outside of the hotel, he also gave directions and was generally very friendly. I had run off without my phone and he came after me with it, which I appreciated.nnCricket ground floodednnFried eggs at breakfast are the best ive had and the coffee is decent.nnLocation is great, wonderful views of Worcester. City centre is a few minutes walk away and there are loads of swans in the river.
Location is right next to the river and provides easy access to the centre. Food is pleasant and unlike a lot of chains served piping hot. So why only 4 stars? Parking is not provided by the hotel. Beware when the is cricket on. My final point is just about good customer serves. I booked weeks in advance and included breakfast. Then from Premier Inn lots of emails offering me this for free. There was no way other that canceling my booking and potentially risking a price hike to uptake this offer. I asked before paying on arrival whether they could wave the charge on the breakfast in view of this. The answer was no. Good customer service would have remove this from the bill.
Well located hotel and the rooms were clean and a reasonable size which is what you would anticipate from Premier. However this is probably the worst Premier experience in terms of services that we have had. Issues with booking in, even trying to use self check in, big delays when you get maybe a few trying to check in at the same time as they are running this on a minimal staffing level. This was reflected on returning in the evening as the bar and restaurant area well very crowded which is where this Premier I feel struggles. Breakfast was probably the worst in terms of management I have experienced in using a wide range of hotel facilities in the UK and globally. Wait times for food to be made available on the buffet had generated extensive queues, and ultimately the food became cold due to the wait times. It was clear the hotel was probably at capacity from the communal areas which is where we feel they struggled.
