Absolutely fantastic stay. The man at reception was very welcoming and get us checked in quickly. Every staff member we encountered was super friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and as expected, the bed was sublime. All in all a very good stay and will definitely be back!
The reception staff were really nice and friendly. The room was clean and really spacious even compared to other Premier Inn hotels, which made the stay comfortable and nice. A minor note is it would have been nice to have daily room service but I guess that wasn't done by default due to the Christmas holidays.Rooms: 5/5
Excellent first stay in a Premier Inn. Welcoming, friendly staff, clean well equipped room, close to Monmouth town centre. Delicious freshly cooked breakfast and buffet for extras and served by smiling, pleasant staff. Lots of well lit parking. Really good experience. Would happily return. Rooms: Adequate sized bedroom and bathroom. Very clean. Nearby activities: Town centre and shops etc Walkability: Easy, short walk to Monmouth. We walked to town for our evening meal. Food & drinks: Delicious full cooked breakfast. Cereals, toast, pastries, yogurt, fruit etc all in plentiful supply also.
I have stayed at many premier inns , all being good , but Monmouth was exceptional. The staff , in particular Ahmed , Stephen , Bethan and Tracy looked after us so well and made sure we had everything we requested. We enjoyed our dinner and breakfast was extended to our visiting grandchildren . We will definitely book in again. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable.
This was my first stay in a Premier Inn so didn’t know what to expect. The whole hotel including the room I stayed in was very clean and tidy. The food at the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. Staff in the hotel and at the restaurant were very friendly and nothing was too much bother. Will definitely stay again.
A clean hotel, the only complaint I would have is regarding the evening meal I had after a long drive from Northants. The ‘beer battered cod’ was actually in breadcrumbs without a semblance of beer in the taste. The chips were oven fries that seemed hurried, I’m pretty sure the receptionist was ‘tripling’ as a waitress & chef. No complaints at all concerning the breakfast or accommodation. The staff were also pleasant.
Stayed for three nights with a good deal. Positives: 10 minute walk to town; Budgens sells quite a lot of food/drink; air conditioning powerful. Negatives: bedroom in the eves so restricted head height/impossible to use seats; air conditioning noisy; very dusty and one towel put on the dust; mattress very hard for me. Didn't eat breakfast as nice eateries in town.
If you want a reasonably priced bed for the night you really can't fault Premier Inn. We wanted somewhere close to the Town Centre with free parking and this suited our needs perfectly. Clean, warm, friendly staff, good breakfast too!Rooms: 5/5
Would give 6 stars if I could. Spotless clean fresh room. Stunning bathroom with lovely soft towels. Spear towels and pillow in room. I was blown away with the quality of the room and the friendly, professionalism of all staff I encountered.Rooms: 5/5
The hotel itself is ok but the bed was very uncomfortable to the point I found it impossible to get comfortable. Im used to a firm mattress but this was like lying on a board and it creaked everytime I moved.Had about 2 hours sleep on and off. Which isn't good as I had to drive back to Hertfordshire the next day. Next time I'm in Monmouth I'm getting an air bnb. Definitely won't be staying here again
