Truly enjoyed my Company Christmas Lunch at Pointing Dog with a Great Quality Food and Services! Meal Choices pre ordered that made easier for party of 50+ people. Free parking on site. Easy access from A34 and Airport by Pass. Beautifully decorated inside and has nice seating area at the back for warmer weather times. Highly recommended!
Well, talk about overpriced! This in front of me came to £20! The only salad was a thick bit of tomato in the burger! I'm sure the fries were just packet/from freezer as well and not fresh? Decor was nice and staff polite but definitely NOT value for money, sorry.
We had lunch here last week Saturday. The service was good, the food was good and Lewis was DJing all afternoon which added to our day date. We will be returning very soon!
We were pleasantly surprised.... last time we ate at the pub we were so disappointed it was over a year ago and so we haven't eaten there since. However we did see the menu when we came for drinks recently and decided to give it a go... we had pizzas and they were beautiful. We would have liked some more choice and thought the prices of other dishes like burgers a little expensive but we weren't disappointed with our choices and will be coming back again soon. Xx
Had a fantastic experience here today. Jacob was fabulous and took excellent care of us - he really enhanced our visit! The food was truly outstanding, each course even better than the last. Really tasty food and beautifully presented. We will be back again soon!
Had a fantastic Sunday roast. There was plenty of food on my plate. It was delicious. The chef Tony deserves praise. The younger males yhat served us were efficient and pleasant. What more could anyone want.
Enjoyed the vegan pizza. Staff got my order wrong and served me a non alcoholic bottled beer instead of a pint of beer. Nice ambiance. Would visit again but not blown away.
Went for Christmas Lunch - Lots of people around us complaining. I felt really sorry for the staff. Looks like management had massively overbooked for Christmas. Food wasn’t great, service was slow, the room was really hot. Other tables were literally asking to open doors to let the cool air in. Shame really, as the place likely could have brought in a lot of new custom for the year. But based on this visit, I don’t think they’ll have gained any new patrons.
The roast dinners were cold, far too much seasoning and the Yorkshire puddings were burnt. The bar man needed to be directed twice on how to make cocktails and they didn't have some ingredients in for the cocktail menu. Nice venue but our experience on the day wasn't good.
Perfect family Sunday dinner. The food was well portioned and very tasty, would absolutely eat here again. The tables were well spaced allowing for push chairs without inconveniencing other guests. Service was professional, friendly and quick.
