Thought we'd give the Insomnia coffee shop in Bakewell a try. It is situated on the ground floor of the Co-op, an easy distance from the river and very popular 'love-locks' Bridge. It was quite busy; service took a while. Our coffees were okay, not great, but the cake, the Ultimate Brownie, was excellent. Being a part of a busy supermarket, it doesn't have quite the same relaxed atmosphere of a dedicated coffee shop, but we wish them well.
Wow! This has to be the best Co-ops I have ever been in. Lovely cafe. Shelves well stocked great choices. Brilliant wine area. So we'll layed out.
Food products are always good & the new coffee shop is a bonus although on last visit toilets were out of use & coffee shop staff were not interested or even bothered in putting out of order on the toilet doors. More interested in checking their mobile phones
Brilliantly stocked, lots of choices, quick queue and a place for my mum to have a sit down. Only knocking off one star due to the fact it was really rather dark, but given the cost of electricity I'm not surprised they want to keep some lights off
Situated inside the co-op is a coffee shop called Insomnia, which is part of a chain. They do lovely drinks and cakes. The staff are friendly and helpful.
I was very impressed with this store loved the layout very modern and the clothes and self fill section,just a shame I don't live anywhere near it so probably won't be able to visit again
People in wheelchairs or mobility scooters should avoid shopping in the evening, as they fill the aisles with large trollies of food, to restock the shelves, making it difficult for even able-bodied people to reach items they want. I have brought this up with customer services numerous times but nothing seems to change.
Great shop, they had everything that we wanted and more. If you are stopping off for lunch, they have a great selection of snacks and drinks.
Loving the new local ranges available in this coop now. Cooked with curry kits last night and Halo chocolate is fab. Worth a visit if you want something different.
Not your run of the mill supermarket…. Stocks a very good range and is just a cut above our London stores. Lovely friendly staff too.
