Been twice now for lunch on both occasions we couldn’t fault the food. First time I had fish & chips which were very good & today my husband & I had the steak pie special from the blackboard , it was excellent! Very cosy pub with good friendly service. Reasonably priced .highly recommend.
Best food in the North. Chips are better than chippy chips, all home made, fresh and with a smile. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you have not been, you are missing a real treat. Live music every Saturday too
Great food and wonderful service. I had steak and was cooked how I asked for it . Excellent value for money Wouldn't recommend as I love it there and want to keep it for myself . Only kidding go it's great go and enjoy
I had lunch there , it is the first time l have visited The Poachers Cottage , their menu is varied , from light bites , substantial sandwiches and larger plates , like mince and dumplings , steak pie and so on. From what l could see potions where more than adequate. Staff very friendly , helpful and polite. Worth another visit.
