What can one say about such a historic and decorated pub? Beautiful from the moment you turn the corner onto the narrow street. Stumbled upon this place and had to wait a bit for them to open at noon because I just had to see the inside. Every inch of this place is rustic and has a story. The small alcoves/drinking rooms are the best part. Has that old smell, in a good way. Barkeep was super friendly and helpful. Four cask handles and several draft options. Also one of the cheaper pints in town at less than £4. A neighborhood pub doesn’t get better than this!
A great local pub. Very Interesting decorations. A pub definitely worth the effort to visit. A selection of real ales and draft beers with a well stocked bar and a friendly barkeep.Service: 5/5
Liverpool institution! Not visited for a number of years, glad to see it still pretty much the same.. Friendly patrons and decent selection of beer I had a pint of ' Blueberry Hill', full of flavour!. Decor is still crazy, one of the best decorated bars I have ever seen. There was plenty of space to sit and a fair few tourists seemed to be in, which I wasn't expecting. All trying the Guinness, which I am told is one of the best in Liverpool. People certiantly seemed to be enjoying it. Great place to visit and just chill out.
Good local atmosphere and a pub with quite little spaces - there are boardgames you can use and the prices are reasonable. The Guinness is amazing Service: 5/5
To sum it up because no one wants a long review, ......The drinks were reasonably priced, the venue itself is probably one of the best boozers in Liverpool and the staff were friendly and helpful. A great little hidden gem. I can't wait to return.Service: 5/5
Can't rate the food, because i didn't have any. Prices are decent and not over inflated. Lovely friendly staff. Lots of quirky nooks, crannies and drinking areas amidst an intriguing array of retro/vintage paraphernalia strung up overhead in a canopy of curiosity to get you looking and talking over your drinks. Out of the way too, so not full of townsfolk falling in and out constantly as they pub crawl their way through the premises, as would happen half a mile away in the town centre. I liked it. I will come again.

A true classic Pub just off the Baltic neighborhood. Friendly service and a really nice selection of cask ales to choose from. Nice ambiance with low lighting and still has the separate rooms and no modern open floor plan so definitely still considered cozy. Probably one of the top ten pubs in Liverpool .
Lovely old pub friendly staff great atmosphere. Lots of charm. Plenty of drinks to choose from. Will definitely recommend and visit again. Such a gem.Service: 5/5
Stumbled across this place by chance and we're really glad we did! Friendly barman, chatty and welcoming customers sitting outside, real ale, and a fascinating interior. Full of character and interest, lovely atmosphere, we will definitely be back on our next visit to Liverpool.
