Had no food. Loved the decor and atmosphere, although it had been decorated and in my opinion esthetically from the outside went from very traditional and classy looking to a bit cheap and nasty complete with signs advertising shots and cheap cocktails, this didn't spoil my experience. Good beer selection. Pleasant surroundings. Definitely would return.
Large bar with a large selection of bottled beers. A little disappointing selection of draught lagers and craft beers. We were there on a Sunday afternoon. The place was very empty.Service: 4/5
Joined some friends for a quiz night during the week. The pub is really nice, and we enjoyed some lovely cocktails! Plenty of TV screens showing football. Nice atmosphere in the pub, made better by the great MC hosting the quiz! Bonus that our little team won the quiz and a bar tab! Shame we aren’t locals as I’d come up every week! Vegetarian options: Lovely cocktails!
I went here while on a trip to Liverpool and wasn't disappointed! The burger i had there was very nice and the drink selection is endless! I have a pint of the Black Heart and my partner had a cocktail that was recommended by Sol barman. Highly recommend this place if you're in Liverpool.Food: 5/5
Very good Liverpool pub about 10 minutes walk from Lime Street Station. 5 cask beers on handpump when I visited including a stout. A few tables outside. The pub has an interesting history as Kirkland's Bakery and its name comes from their slogan 'no flies in the loaf'.
I was with a group of friends and we walked in with drinks we had got from somewhere else and were looking for somewhere to enjoy the afternoon. The bartender was incredibly rude and he started arguing with me and my friends and threatened us and said he would not serve me after asking if we could go out and finish the drinks we had and come back and pay for some at the bar which we thought was reasonable. It was the first and last time I will go to this place, which is a shame considering I heard lots of good things about it. He was light skin, light haired, light eyes and around 5’11 and scouse, potentially early 20’s.
It's now a dead fly to me. Used to be one of my favourite pubs in Liverpool but they've fully gone for a student vibe now, and killed any class it once had in my humble opinion. Won't be going there again. I am 43 to be fair, so definitely not their new target audience. Am sure I won't be missed
Nice little pub , they do sell food eg.. burger and a pint for £10 , we never ate , just had a drinkService: 4/5
Can't rate the food as I didnt eat, but very inviting and friendly. Great atmosphere and great drinks. Recommended !Service: 5/5
The Glasgow willy wonka in 'nu pub' form Since being taken over it's been destroyed. Served cocktails with no booze in then warm pints. Appalling, ruined a great pub and I won't go back.Food: 1/5
