First time we have eaten here. Stopped of for coffee, pizza etc with my Grandchildren. Man who served us was doing a brilliant job, taking tickets for cinema and taking orders and serving at the cafe. A huge 'well done'. Pizza and coffee arrived quickly and kids loved it. Will definitely return.
We went to see Avatar at screen 5 in the afternoon. Getting in meant a queue to the food and drink counter where one girl was serving as quickly as she could so didn’t wait too long to get in. The screen was clean and the seats comfortable and enjoyed the film, clear sound and picture. Went to toilet to the rear of the cinema, it is a bit of a walk but clean and tidy compared to the toilet at the entrance which is obviously used much more. There is a cafe inside too but we didn’t use it. We never buy drinks or snacks at any cinema, we don’t like them.
Prices for tickets are a little steep, especially with the high cost for food/drinks, but the screen was clean and movie good quality. Right after we bought tickets we went to go upstairs but were loudly called back by a male employee from halfway across the cinema, so we came back down only for him to ignore us completely. We weren't told not to go up yet which would have been weird anyway since there's a sort of lounge area to wait in? or that our tickets needed to be checked, we just stood there with other customers staring at us like we'd done something wrong for ages until it was just about time for the movie to start. Funny enough we didn't get stopped the second time
Seen 2 movies in screen 4 recently and really enjoyed it. Clean, comfy seats, friendly staff. Also the snacks, although still expensive, aren't nearly as expensive as if you visited a big chain cinema!
Love the new red leather seating screens Comfortable, no musky smell, Juice holders are much better, seats are 10/10 for long sitting. Great movie night had
Descent size cinema with IMAX available for some of the movies. Wish they could do old movies nights with hits from 40s, 50s etc
Saw a 3D Imax showing of Avatar II. Enjoyed the film and the experience in this professional venue and all on N Years Eve as Perth seemed to have gone to bed early.
Was staying in Perth overnight as a birthday treat for my daughter. As we were away from home, we had no ID. My daughter and her two friends are 15 but we were denied entry to the 15 film even although I was also going to see the film. Not like I was trying to get in with a bunch of 10 year olds. Over zealous staff ruined my daughter's birthday. Stuck in Perth with rock all else to do. Thanks Perth cinema. Won't be back.
This is a great cinema with a lot of vintage character. It was desperately quiet on a Saturday evening though so I would urge folks from around the area to start turning up to see movies here otherwise you're going to lose a gem of a cinema
I have not been for years, we were in cinema 3. Very nice it was too. Lots of leg room and very comfy seats. They do need to get the ladies downstairs sorted. Very nice loos upstairs.
