This was our first visit to a Cineworld, we have a Vue closer to home but wanted to go somewhere different/ not as busy. We checked tickets online, and nobody was booked in. Only 5 other people bought tickets, so it was really peaceful.nnWe got tickets to see Inside Out 2. Then I bought the family deal, which included two kids' munch boxes, two fruit shoots, magic stars, and for the adults, two drinks with bag of popcorn. Fantastic value and cheaper than Vue! Staff are all friendly, clean venue but unfortunately the seats aren't comfortable. The seats are too old, and the children's weight couldn't keep them fully open. Causing them to swing back and forth. My youngest had to sit on my knee even though I bought her a ticket and taken a booster seat, which was provided by the cinema. The booster seat was too big and would slip off either side, causing her leg to get trapped under the arm rest. Probably didn't help the old seat was folding, maybe not heavy enough to hold it down?nnMy children were happy and enjoyed their afternoon out, plus it wasn't expensive. We would definitely go back, hopefully they'll update the seats.nn* I love the munch box, 100% better than the vue trays! *
As always the prices at Cineworld for food and drink are nonsense. The staff are always very nice so no issues there. I do feel however that the toilets are always in a state of disrepair - taps won't turn off, toilet doors won't lock etc.
Not a place for children as the seats are too low and elevation is not proper. So even a 9 years old can not see properly. Need a booster seat!
Went to watch DUNE 2. Screen 12. ‘Security’ lights so bright I could read a book / analogue watch anywhere in the cinema. Including one dead centre in the ceiling right above the screen. Several folk approached staff to ask if they could be turned down, to be told they couldn’t. What was left out until I challenged management is that the bulbs were replaced, are too bright / faulty and are awaiting replacement parts. Head office apparently dead to the staffs concerns and insist the screen is used. We weren’t the only patrons to leave within 10 mins of the start. That screen shouldn’t be in use if the experience is sub-optimal. Will avoid in future.
It's okay. I don't love this movie theatre. The lobby and the staff are quite nice, it's very big and wide open however the decor and the actual screen rooms are quite drab and run-down and it feels like it could use significant investment from the owners.nnI enjoyed that they were showing a animated movie that wasn't being shown in any of the other local theatres which is what prompted me and my friend to travel all the way here to see a movie however I was pretty disappointed in the quality of the seats and the fact there was a huge imperfection in the middle of the screen that made it difficult to enjoy the movie. The screen was also remarkably small and the seat lay-out quite poor in my viewing room. Most of the middle section where views are best is empty because the door is centred rather than off-set to the right/left like in most theatres.
