Loved this place as a cinema. It's very intimate and the sofas are so comfortable. We felt so welcome by the dude who provides the tickets and snacks. If there is a film showing here that you wanna see then I would thoroughly recommend it...
Great little independent cinema. Comfortable leather sofas and the ability to have either a soft drink or a beer. Definitely an experience I'd recommend.
Coolest cinema I've ever been!!!!
Absolute loving going to the Alloa cinema. It's supporting a local run establishment and it's easy to get to. It's like a home from home with all its comfy sofas to sit on,fab! The staff who serve behind the desk not only give out the tickets but will have a wee chat as well as make a nice coffee, quite often bringing it through too.
First time along to Alloa Cinema and wasn't quite what I had expected. My wife had beeked the tickets as the wee man wanted to see the new Minions movie. I had no idea there was a cinema in Alloa. So it is a night club that shows movies through the day. Fist sign that it was primarily a night club was the very sticky floors soon followed by a smell of stale beer. Thesr as far as I am concerned are not bad points but it may put off parents taking there wee ones to see a movie. Once in and got our munchies we went through to the screen room which was made up of rows of 2 and 3 seater couches with tables between them. This means seating spaces are limited to around 40 or so people. I have to be honest I loved it. We got a 3 seater sofa to ourselves and there wasn't many other people in. The sofas are comfy enough to see you through to the end of the movie. I would happily go back there to see another movie and would recommend this place, especially if you don't like large crowds of people.
It was ok but bit different from the average cinema
Recently moved to the area and was surprised to see a local cinema still existed, I have been a few times and can’t fault the amazing venue, very different but it works brilliantly Very fair pricing and the fact they always have the latest movies showing is excellent management of the location so all cinema goers are catered for. let’s be honest who doesn’t want to sit in comfort watching a movie and place is spotless and a credit to all the staff Definitely worth a visit
Went to see dominion,we were the only 2 in the place, comfortable couches, great surround sound,clean and tidy,a good afternoon,
Bad practice when it comes to paying their employees I have never worked there but know many people who have. Other than that standard club/cinema.
Brilliant little independent cinema showing new films.Cheap, clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
