This is a hotel chain catering for travelers, but not a bad choice for anyone. The room was pretty generous for a hotel and the bed was fairly large as eel which was welcome after some of the small needs we have come across lately. The mattress was to firm for my liking, but most people would probably be happy. Pretty good breakfast. Close to the rail station. Great for an overnight stay.

Nice, clean, good staff, nice rooms. BUT it was windy when I was there it sounded like a tornado in the hall on the 1st floor. Didn't sleep it was very loud the whistle, the 3 stars are for that. End of the day a hotel is too sleep in and if you carnt because of very loud noises whats the point.

Visit Derby regularly and i always choose Pentahotel. It has great beds, a great social area with bar and restaurant. Food is always of a good quality. The gym is small but with a selection of machines and free weights it works well for me. There is a sauna but just let the reception know you want to use it in advance so they switch it on. Overall i am always happy with the Penta.

Hotel very close to Derby City, and the train station. Quirky and modern design features in the interior, such as the bar, a PlayStation for the use of guests, a pool table, etc. However the rooms are relatively basic and slightly on the small side. And as to be expected in a city hotel the view from the room was of car park. Friendly staff though, relaxed atmosphere, and nice hotel. Did have to pay to park in the hotel car park though.
