Very nice cosy little public house in the centre of York. Had a really nice buzz about it the last time I was in. I live away from York so don't get there too often wish I could get there more. Beer really well kept and the place is so comfortable and relaxed. Nice and warm on a autumn or winters day.
Really nice pub with good low priced drinks. Excellent care from the staff.
Caveated with I've been visiting this place for years but it's always been a friendly and welcoming locals bar in the centre of town. Lately Sam's prices have gone up and it's put some of the old crowd off but still a decent place to visit. The landlady/ landlord and staff are welcoming and the drinks/snacks are all Sam's Smith own.
The Burnes Hotel formerly The Hansom Cab is a Samuel Smiths pub and to be honest it's a bit rough. I have seen trouble in here in the past. The interior is OK and the beer is good, if you like Sam Smiths. They do food during the day, but I have never tried it so no commit.
Quiet pub. Tadcaster ales. No phones nor pads allowed. Owner lives in the dark ages. Decent pint
Gone downhill so much. Final straw was taking out Sovereign. Spend your money in a pub where you are valued and not taken for granted
All pints have had £1 added to them since covid 19. They have stopped selling sovereign, there best sellar, dooh!!
Good selection of good beers at very good prices. Nice informal atmosphere.
