Lovely place if you're in the area, very well maintained. Will be much better in the summer when the weather is warmer and ground not so wet. Great for taking photos or for artists as there are some lovely views of the mill. We only spent about 30-45mins there but could spend longer if taking a picnic or using the tearoom. Very helpful guide who was able to tell us a lot about the history and showed us the waterwheel in action. The watermill is within walking distance of the railway station but you need to have good mobility as the watermill is located at the top of a hill. There is a car park on site so can be reached by car either.

Such a shame, it is a beautiful place but i was treat with so much disrespect by the guy who runs it, I am disabled (use crutches,) with a mental health diagnosis, and he was very rude, and intolerant, and literally put me out of the mill grounds, I was shocked and embarrassed. I will not ever be going back. Thought it was a beautiful place and had never been before and it looked accessible and according to the information it is supposed to be absolutely disability aware. I'm afraid not...very far from it. My visit has had a negative affect on my self esteem. this could be a great place to have coffee, crafts and take the children...but the intolerance and rudeness to both able and disabled is toxic. I will be passing on my experience with my friends.

A nice little project off the beaten track. Great to see it in its restored glory. However very much a work in progress and a few more information points across the site would make it more worthwhile. £3.50 entry, visited for approx 30 minutes.

An interesting place to visit but beware the grumpy fella doing the tour. If you have younger kids he can’t handle that challenge and resorts to insults and frustration. I think he’s be grand with a certain clientele. Anyone outside his comfort zone and he is unbearable.

Killed 20 minutes there , was nothing to exciting , took a few pics , was told off by a grumpy old man, about walking on his grass seeds , to be honest I never saw any signs telling me about the seeds , and as I'm not a mind reader it would of helped ,
