Really great way to spend a couple of hours of your time. Interesting, educational and fascinating discovering not only why the tunnel was built but how it was used both for the transporting of coal in the 1820s but also the protection of people during ww2 air raids. The volunteer guides Donald and Peter were excellent.

Extremely intetesting. The 2 gentlemen who were our guides were great. Do the 2 hour tour for ww2 stories on way down and Victorian stories on the way back. Cheap for 2 hours entertainment too.
