I only viewed the Galleries.nEntry is free but donations welcome.nI enjoyed the Disability exhibition as this is a topic that hardly happens.nSome of the amateur art work was great; & adult content section.nThere is so much space in this Gallery, and could be better used.nThe lift and views were amazing.nAs a wheelchair user the Gallery was disabled friendly!nThere are disabled bays on south shore road on the side of the Baltic Art Gallery.
Liked this. An eclectic range of exhibits. Frankie Raffles photography exhibit particularly good. Worth an hour for sure and free with a donation. Excellent views as well as exhibits with a nice coffee shop which has access to a roof terrace. The access isn't obvious but either ask the staff or go up the stairs in the corner of the coffee shop.
Visiting the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art was a delightful experience! With its six floors offering diverse attractions, there's something for everyone. From thought-provoking art installations to a vibrant bar on the top floor, surrounded by stunning views. The fourth floor is a green oasis with plants and crops, while the second floor is perfect for kids, featuring a library and interactive exhibits. The ground floor boasts charming shops and captivating lighting. Overall, a must-visit destination for an enriching half-day outing with loved ones!
I went there with my college tour in November, and it was my first time visiting an art gallery. I must say, all the artworks were beautiful. I encountered captivating exhibitions like Project Art Works: Residential and Michael Rakowitz’s The Waiting Gardens of the North. Each offered a unique perspective and left an indelible impression on my mind.
Wanted to look around the Baltic Centre, was given a schedule of events on arrival and informed there was a guided tour at 11. It was fascinating. Really a great experience and Alisha was so informative and passionate about the events and work behind the scenes. Fantastic views and loved the kittiwakes nesting just a few feet away from the viewing platform. So many things for the children to get involved in And it's free entry!
