Stayed the night on Tuesday the 18th cost £60 for the night got into the room found 2 slugs one in the bedroom and bathroom and I got a shower and the bath tub wasn't steady felt like I was about to go through it . Never stay in this hotel it's horrible and not worth £60 we got £10 back but that's not the point . Finding 2 slugs and they said it's normal because it's a old building no you should have cleaners and mold in the bedroom where you put your clothes NEVER AGAIN SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN
I picked a customer up it looked terrible to be honest and the drains outside the entrance good god stunk absolutely awful... sewage smell that was enough for me and couldn't wait to get the family out that was staying the on a temporary basis... run down... id stay clear..Rooms: 2/5
The 2 young men I met on arrival were so helpful and found me a place to sleep and got to prepping the room even though fully fully booked as someone just left, no teli, very dated and furniture definitely needs replacing, paint and cleaning needed so so much but it is a big place and I hope this is maybe in process. With all that being said it asked me for 60 for the room online and I wasn't happy but needed rest so proceeded, on arrival cash was requested and only 50 instead, on sign outside 19.99 pp per room and this room was only just able to be offered as this, however in my at that time situation I honestly felt gratitude and a little dismay but I was desperate. I the next night requested a knife and fork and a some what abrupt man appeared and could not provide me with any as the kitchen was closed and that was that... I felt quite homesick by now .. the people are lovely mostly but the cost and the service need to be amended and honestly it could be so so so much better with very little change but just a little help .. I even cleaned the room I had like it was a crime scene in the hope they'd notice and think good idea xx. They just need a little help xx
Everything is damp, staff were useless, had no towels for a shower, the kettle was mould. We wasn’t even allowed a key to the room unless we paid a £20 deposit which was more than what the room was per person cash only also so had to walk to the nearest cash machine. Overall just a disaster and shouldn’t even be classed as a place to stay. If you are reading this as you have booked or are booking to stay here. You will wish you had paid for a better hotel.
I've stayed in worse places... But I'm not sure when. Pretty much same as all the other reviews, it's damp, broken furniture, dirty carpets and rooms in a poor state of repair. On the plus side the TV worked, the bed was clean and the room was warm. There was a leak in the bathroom which dripped on the toilet which was nice. Would suggest you avoid it unless you have no other option. Reception pretty unwelcoming and seemed like it was hard work to be polite and check me in, tried to get a deposit for the room and key which seems very unwelcoming.
***WORST HOTEL I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED - AVOID*** With limited hotel options due to the cricket, I elected to stay here for one night in July 2023. The hotel itself seemed to be occupied and run by a family only - none of which were in any way helpful. They seemed surprised that we were there, despite booking. Here were some of the appalling highlights of my stay here: * Mould and damp all over walls * Beside lights don’t work * Blinds broken * Window smashed and covered with a piece of wood - unable to open * Tv bracket on wall but no tv on it * Actual TV on floor but cracked and broken * Cupboard broken and covered in dust * No hangers in cupboard at all * Telephone number penned onto wall which has been poorly washed off * Cobwebs in every corner * Mattress too big for bed * No duvet on bed * Only one towel between 2 * Shower only producing boiling water * No toilet roll * Old shampoo and gel bottles left in shower * Toilet wouldn’t flush properly * Carpet dirty * Fire alarm unit visibly broken * Smells of smoke * No Wi-Fi as promised * Bathroom light constantly buzzes
This hotel was so disgusting. Mould was everywhere on walls an ceiling. The bed was broken. The carpet was so dirty an worn out I would of walked away but it was 4am an I was very tired to notice any thing. When I woke up in the morning an seen everything I wanted to be sick . I couldn't use the bathroom they were cob webs everywhere forget making a coffee. I didn't touch nothing an just left . Do not stay here !
DO NOT STAY HERE. terrible place and horrible staff. Was desperate for a room at 10pm. So i called them and was told a room is available for £50. When i arrived, was told its £80. I asked why i was quoted £50 over the phone and both gents denied that somebody quoted me £50. Looking at the reviews, im glad i never stayed there. STAY AWAY PEEPS!
DO NOT STAY!! Arrived at the hotel late Friday night and the staff at reception seemed not to want to be there and didn’t seem interested at all. Asked for extra pillow and towel as booked for 2 people and only had one towel - got told the door was locked. Went back again in the morning pressed the bell for assistance nobody came within 5-10 minutes so had to leave. Came back and asked again got told the same that the door was locked. Eventually got given a towel. Multiple police officers in the hotel throughout the stay on the reception and appeared to be guarding a room. No tv remote. Not enough toilet roll. Decor was in poor condition and very outdated. Only good thing I can say is it provided somewhere to sleep and a shower with very very bad pressure and the room was relatively clean.
The room was nice but unacceptable as the bed base was all marked there was no remote for TV the curtain blind didn't cover windows & most of all there was no cup or kettle in room to make a drink of tea or coffee plus dint why I was charged a deposit for the room key won't be back againRooms: 2/5
