I had low expectations of this 2 star Hotel. They were greatly exceeded! I'd give it 4 stars! Very clean, great service. They even cooked us an excellent pizza to eat inoir room when we arrived back after 11pm! The buffet breakfast was great quality and piping hot, just the way it needs to be! The bacon and sausages were decent quality, not the usual bulk catering mush! They only put a small amount out at a time, meaning it's all very freshly cooked. There's a reasonably priced 24-hour car park over the road. Strangely, no 24 hour tickets, so you need to book twice, once early the next morning. You can pay for parking by phone from anywhere. A bit of a 'chew' to do, but easier second time around.
OK, this was still 150 per night and they have those weird pre-constructed bathrooms still. Plus, they charge you for everything... You want to leave a bag there? Well, there's a fee. Big oppressive welcome sign there explaining all the fees when you check-in. Nice welcome. But the staff were lovely but such policies strange. Cheapy hotel brand, 15 minutes walk to town, but still fairly expensive.
Good quality rooms. Dining room is very small with a very limited choice, that’s not well stocked up in the breakfast rush hours. Pretty poor location if you plan on using a public transport or walk by foot, as it’s in the middle of a busy interchange. Might not be a common problem but a swipe-type room cards were glitching a lot, often taking dozen attempts before letting us into the room.
I uses Ibis when I just need a basic clean comfortable 1-2 night stay in a city. But in this hotel, at least in my room, that standard has fallen. Shower was leaking, toilet seat was loose, curtains were dirty with stains, so was the kettle. It is just lack of care and attention.
Decent clean and comfortable stay in Leeds for when we stayed, on a Sunday night only £43 for a double room. Good service on arrival. Very handy for the University district. Walkability: Near to Art Gallery, University, Headingley.
Lovely staff, a credit to the hotel, nice food & drinks. Walking distance to town & train station. Car parking confusion to park, need to follow sat nav for the West Street car parking not hotel. Dog friendly but busy noisy road, our dogs hated the traffic noise, shut window don't hear much then, we managed just for one night. Would recommend as comfortable. Car parking
Exactly as expected, for an Ibis. Service polite but subdued. Rooms are clean. Location is on a busy road so noisy at night, even with the window closed. Fine for one night but wouldn’t want to be there much longer. Resented paying £100 for such a basic hotel but that’s the reality of staying on a Friday night in a big city.Rooms: 3/5
For the price and the last minute booking the hotel was great. Basic but clean rooms with an odd bathroom pod including a decent sized shower. Breakfast was a bit limited in selection but everything there was great. Overall a basic hotel with everything you need for a few days stay, just a little bit further out of town than would have been ideal.
A classic centrally located Ibis offer. Clean, simple, effective and within walking distance of Leeds city centre. Exactly was it says on the tin.Rooms: 5/5
Very good budget hotel. Breakfast is very good with an excellent choice buffet style. Would definitely stay here again. It is about a 15-minute walk from here to the First Direct Arena.Rooms: 4/5
