went here with my mum, brother and sister. the hotel staff were so kind and i overheard one staff lady calling my little sister very cute! the beds were great, EXTREMELY COMFY! the toilet was alright, i didn’t enjoy moving rooms to wash my hands though. i liked the garden, it was very spacious and pretty. great view, very nice location. the food was nice, i found the scrambled eggs quite watery which wasn’t very pleasant. the shower room is amazing, very modern and clean. i enjoyed my stay, definitely recommend!
The photos of this hotel are very misleading. The fixtures and fittings are very dated and the atmosphere is very grey. I booked a 14 night stay here but had to shorten it to 7. Housekeeping changed our sheets after a couple of nights they were very rude to my partner The same night, just as we got into bed I felt a very severe itch. It was so bad that we checked sheets and noticed blood on them. I had to take a shower 3 consecutive times and reported it to reception who at 3am gave us a new room and they promised that they would get the manager to contact us. Nobody contacted me so I went to see the manager myself the next afternoon. He was slightly apologetic but wasn't taking my complaint as seriously as I expected him to. He offered me drinks and when I declined he offered dinner. I really don't think this is acceptable. I didn't ask for a refund or anything because this horrible experience is way worse than money. My partner felt like the cleaning staff were racist so they did this to us on purpose.
Stayed for a family party. The room was large and well equipped, we had a large comfortable bed and the shower was amazing. Breakfast had lots of choice, only issue was the staff not clearing tables for breakfast I did it myself so we could all sit together , didn't detract from a great weekend though
Very friendly and helpful staff during check-in, breakfast and check-out! The bed was so comfortable we started wondering if it fits into my purse, very quiet during the night and breakfast was delicious with a great variety. Would highly recommend!Rooms: 5/5
Excellent, really friendly service The rooms were impeccable and the atmosphere was lovely throughout The comfiest Hotel beds I have ever slept in The only thing that was a draw for me on location is that there is no way to walk out of the site, as you have to cross a busy roundabout that has no pedestrian walkways. I'm aware this isn't something they can control but it would have been nice to know in advance as it makes public transport inaccessible
Roomy air conditioned room an absolute God send during a recent heatwave. Good value for money and ideally situated. Only downside was that breakfast was unavailable one morning due to staffing issues and was retrospectively fined for having my hire car in carpark, which was cleared up with one phone call.
I must say we were pleasantly surprised!! Our room was very spacious, very clean and modern, had all we needed for our very comfortable overnight stay. After a family party we came back to our room requested fresh milk on our way back which was promptly collect ed from the kitchen. We ordered a midnight meal from the 24 hour room service menu which was delicious. The staff team at night were especially very friendly and professional. Well done guys highly recommended
So the hotel is nice.. new fitted bathroom and nice TV in the middle of the bed.. but they forgot to change the bed frame. Was a bit old looking.. mattress very soft. Just a new bed and it would be good
The room was clean, spacious with tea and coffee facilities in room. Speedy WiFi and a great TV desk area set up where you can connect your laptop or fire stick into the TV with ease. The beds are amazingly comfy and decent pillows to that were actually clean underneath the pillow slips. Lovely shower, water was always hot. Food was great, really good selection of food available 24/7 on the room service menu. Reception very friendly and so quick and easy to check in/out. The hotel generally has a relaxed and welcoming feel and I would certainly recommend it. Location is convenient it is close enough to the town, just of the A1m but also has the georgeous surroundings of knebworth park. Given this is also a dog friendly hotel grounds itself has plenty of outside space as well as knebworth park and would be perfect for those with animals. My only complaint was the cleanliness of the restaurant, Evey table near a wall or perspex had old food splashed up it or smeared across that doesn't get cleaned offs. Staff wipe the tables but don't clean the pedestals and the skirting boards haven't been touched in ages, which surprises me given the cleanliness of the rest of the hotel.
I stayed here on a skills coach trip. Our room was great. Plenty of room, very clean and the bed was actually comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Only thing that we had was poor was the food buffet. Not much choice, the veg wasn't cooked long enough and the roast potatoes were stone cold. It was like they came out of a fridge! The breakfast the morning after though was actually very good and hot!
