SELF DRIVE CLASSIC CARS FOR HIRE IN NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE

We have a selection of excellent iconic Classic Cars for hire on a daily basis from March through to mid November. Hire rates from £89. A rare opportunity to drive a carefully maintained and sporting classic. Your car will have full insurance and you will have an accompanied preliminary test drive to familiarise the drivers with the car. We are members of the HCHG ensuring quality of our cars and service.

OUR CARS

We provide a fantastic choice of cars for you to consider. They have been selected and prepared to ensure they are quality examples, often with careful upgrades for safety and comfort to braking, suspension and road handling not to mention improvements to engine reliability and performance. Our aim is for you to have a worry free, trouble free classic car experience that lingers long in the memory and hope that you recommend us to your friends family and colleagues!


Jaguar E Type 2 seat Convertible RHD 1969

Acknowledged worldwide to be the most beautiful car design ever, with performance and comfort to match. Our British Racing Green 4.2 S2 has been beautifully restored and drives superbly, with a gorgeous sound from its 6 cylinder engine. The first owner bought the car in San Francisco, we have the full documented history with every receipt from new. After 17 years the car was sold to the second owner who imported the car to Denmark. He owned the car for 18 years and between 1993 and 2005 the car had a complete strip down and full rebuild. In 2007 the third owner bought the car and enjoyed for next eight summers before we bought the car and converted to RHD.

Jaguar E Type 2 seat Fixed Head RHD 1970

To the purist the FHC E Type has the best lines. We have owned this car for 25 years, ‘my last fling before getting hitched!'. Recently undergoing its second full restoration with a new aluminium bonnet, immaculate dark blue paintwork and grey interior. A popular wedding car- it photographs exceptionally and has rare factory fitted power steering . The fixed heads also have very useful luggage space for a minimoon or touring. This car has also only had three previous owners and its documented mileage of under 80,000 works out an annual mileage of less than 1750 miles.

Porsche 911E 2 seat ‘Targa’ Convertible LHD 1973
The most successful sporting road car ever built, our 911 is the last year of the ‘classic’ 911s, with a 2.4L engine, and without impact bumpers. Our car was imported from Texas, so hasn’t suffered from the rust problems of UK vehicles. Recently refurbished in its original metallic silver with new black leather interior and refurbished Targa top. A very practical and sporting car- with the top removed the fixed rear screen allows ‘almost’ wind free open top driving. Our 911E has mechanical fuel injection, a 5-speed gearbox, and was termed the “secret weapon from Zuffenhausen” by the press when introduced as it was faster up to 100mph then the 911S, and much more tractable to drive. A rare sight on the roads, there are less than 20 of these classic 911 Targas recorded as registered in the UK.

BMW 2002 4 seat Convertible RHD 1973

The 02 series ‘new class’ were produced between 1962 and 1971, establishing the identity of BMW’s sporting coupe. Our 02 has been completely rebuilt by the marque specialists in the 1990s and carefully driven since. Much smaller than modern 3 series cars but with 4 seats (rearseats for ‘small adults’), and with a large boot. Our 02 has been converted to twin Webers sportier camshaft bringing up to Ti spec. A fun and practical car that is a bit of a crowd puller when parked- there are less than 50 of these convertibles left on the road in the UK. With the Targa top removed and rear hood left up you won’t spoil your hairdo!

WEDDINGS- try something different, the best man and groom arrive at the wedding ceremony in a fantastic classic. Our cars will provide superb memorable photo opportunities. The bride and groom can leave the ceremony for the reception or later on leave for their honeymoon in a beautiful classic.

We can provide one hour accompanied drives in any of our cars. A great way to try out the experience of one of our classics for a low cost with the comfort of being in the hands of one of our experienced team.

Give a friend or family member a day to remember with a day out in a classic and lunch at a venue of your choice. We can recommend scenic routes and special restaurants. Northumberland and Durham have fantastic B roads winding through stunning and remote landscapes. Tour the many castles along the 45 mile coastline or the Cheviots hills and National Park. We have cars for 2-4 passengers.

CLASSIC CAR RALLIES/CORPORATE EVENTS

Book several cars amongst a group of friends or work colleagues for a unique day out. Extra insurance cover can be arranged to allow each driver to try each car. Routes can be provided with convenient stages to stop off for a coffee or lunch. For groups we provide a back up car with a member of our team to arrange stop offs and provide hands on knowledge.

ON HOLIDAY IN THE NORTH EAST

Why not book a classic for the day and enjoy a tour of the area in a 70s soft top with a picnic in the boot. We can provide a drop off and collection service at extra cost to your accomodation.


PHOTO AND FILM WORK

Our cars are available at special rates for photo shoots and film work. We can arrange transport at cost nationally. We are in touch with other owners of many classic car makes who are willing to provide cars for this purpose.
