"No. 1 Royal Crescent is a museum which has been decorated and furnished just as it might have been during the period 1776-1796. The rooms feature historic furniture, pictures and objects that reveal what life was like for Bath’s fashionable residents – both upstairs and downstairs. Our new immersive experience brings the house to life through film and sound so that visitors can get a very real sense of what it would have been like to live there."

Lovely museum. Great interactive content and really shows a slice of Georgian life. The kitchen was my favorite part. Love the self-guide aspect, allowing you to walk through at your own pace. Great museum and worth the walk up the hill, especially if you want a nice view of the Royal Crescent.
Visited here for the first time yesterday and it was a lovely experience. All the rooms were decorated for Christmas. On entry the lady was very helpful and explained about the fun questionnaire and the ‘finding the mice’ activity for my granddaughter, which she thoroughly enjoyed. I particularly loved the servants kitchen and dining room which were underneath the house. Stairs were not the easiest with a child but we managed. Tickets are a bit pricey for the length of time you spend there though.
Oh how the rich lived, what an amazing house and in great settings. You can listen through audio and visual pictures. It didn't take too long on the tour of the house. Did think it was a little pricey to enter, around £14 pound each. Still glad we did it and got some lovely photos.
8/4/23 It’s a very interesting museum with period interiors and contents. To truly make you feel like you have stepped into the Georgian days of Bath, each room as speakers playing voices of the residents that lived there going through life in the house in that period. The one slight letdown is that it is a bit pricey.
Nice museum if you are interested to see how people lived in that era. There are some audio narration inside each room. Could be quite boring for younger audience. If you are in Bath already, I would recommend going there.Visited onWeekdayWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedNot sure
Beautifully presented museum, which brought to life a typical Regency family that would have lived there. You learn about their lives as you walk from room to room. I can see why they have won so many visitor attraction awards, well worth a visit if you're interested in Regency life.Visited onWeekendWait time30–60 minReservation recommendedNo
Beautiful, Georgian house, wonderfully preserved. So much to see and interesting to see little details such as butter moulded into a cow on the dining table. Snuff box and cosmetics in dressing table drawer. A must see. Parking: Parked in car park about 5 minutes away.
Fantastic tour around with a digital video of actors sharing stories. Loved seeing each room as it could have been back then, especially being on so many floors above and below ground level.Visited onWeekdayWait time10–30 minReservation recommendedNo
Lovely place to visit but a lot of stairs obviously since it is Georgian. Set out for Christmas and was really interesting. Expensive to enter full price and wouldn't return because of this.Visited onWeekdayWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedYes
Visited after lunch on Saturday. There is a notice at the entrance, which asks you to wait and a member of staff will come to you. Well they certainly did, the member of staff walked right upto me, very intimidating and just looked at me. I stepped back and asked for entry tickets for 2 adults. The member of staff was very direct and clearly did not think there was anything wrong with their actions. I mentioned to my husband that this was a bit off and very intimidating and he agreed. Anyway after waiting 5+mins she tried to make conversation, asking where we were from, and if this was the same place as an artist. When we said no, she then proceeded to check on Google! Anyway, tickets purchased card only we entered the first room. It seems that tour is timed commentary. There are some QR codes you can scan in each room for further info, but this knocks the timings for the next commentary in the next room. Did feel a bit rushed by this, sort of pushed along. However, we did stop to access the info off the QR codes and then had to wait for the commentary. The downloaded info from the QR codes deletes when you leave the property, very clever, but then you can't catch up later. That being said each room was dressed for the Regency Period and the commentary or videos in the rooms was telling a great story, very apt.
