This unique collection interprets the rich architectural history of Bath and the men who transformed a provincial town into the world famous Georgian Spa.

Story

It demonstrates how classical design influenced the buildings and illustrates the construction of a house from the cellars to the rafters.
Based in the historic Countess of Huntingdon’s Chapel, the building is also home to the Bath Model, a fully detailed architectural model of the historic city centre, giving a unique insight into the layout of the Georgian City.

Small and interesting but I wouldn’t get out of my way to visit it.
Its an interesting place...it's not for the dull...it's engaging and interesting if you have and a mind that is interested in things... it's a delight...if not..then you will just not understand..oolitic limestone and the Palladian style...and probably think Botticelli is a cheese or a wine

As a Bath resident, I found this museum absorbing and insightful. The centrepiece is a real surprise, too, and it makes you wonder what Bath could have been. Absolutely worth a visit, whether you live a mile or a thousand miles away.
