Friendly people and really beautiful pieces.
Amaizing place, very old items aprox 6000 years old. Must visit.
Compact and welcoming; an unexpected gem in historic Bath - with an interesting back-story to its foundation. A small but lovingly assembled menagerie of East Asian artifacts, some dating back to the 6th century BC. Slightly tired interior, now in need of a little makeover - that said, you're not there to look at the wallpaper.
Beautiful displays and some are incredibly old you can't believe the quality definitely go see it
This is a real gem in Bath. Excellent displays of beautiful ceramics. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I was shocked and horrified to hear they'd suffered a break-in and a number of irreplaceable pieces were stolen. More people need to visit to help raise funds.
It is such a shame that they had to close the first floor due to major damage done by intruders. The collection feels definitely smaller because of it but it is not the museum’s fault at all. It is probably the cheapest museum in Bath so I would say definitely go take a look and help them get back on their feet!
Excellent collection. Well displayed with good information. Spanning a wide part of history. I enjoyed the Song ceramics & jade carvings. Very representative collection with excellent publications available. Very friendly & helpful assistant.
This was a fantastic day course on Japanese fan painting. I now have the gist of how to use the brushes and ink and as such have an enthusiastic base on which to build. The course also gave admission to the galleries within the museum which added an extra dimension to the day.
Very impressive collection, super helpful volunteers and calm atmosphere. We will visit again!
