The Mayor of Bath’s Honorary Guides offer FREE tours of the wonderful city of Bath twice daily - at 10 am snd then at 2 pm. My family of four did the morning tour and loved every bit of it. The tour starts right next to the Roman Baths entrance queue and ends there too. No booking or tickets are needed; you just show up. Our guide, Pete was funny, informed, engaging and a great storyteller. He did a terrific job of the tour and kept everyone on track and on time. Highly recommend it for everyone!
Rain, Hail or Shine - these Free no tips required Walking Tours go ahead. Held twice daily - "Visit Bath" website has the details. Meeting point is near the Pump Room, next to entry into Roman Baths. Heavy rain it was a few weeks ago on 23 Sept that the walk went ahead with a large group of keen attendees split into 5 lots headed by 1 dedicated Guide. Many thanks to our guide James who persevered in the bucketing rain for 2 hours! He covered ancient history of Bath to the famous Georgian era with all the luminaries Bath is reknowned for incl. Jane Austen. We walked to the sites of interest & took shelter where we could. Will never forget standing in the middle of The Circus in pouring rain to listen to James! Recommend this tour & thank you to all the dedicated Honarary Guides
Wonderful free walking tour of Bath! Literally free! Andy, our guide, was very knowledgable, patient and kind. This is a must do activity when you visit Bath!
We joined a brilliant guided tour within Bath yesterday. Our guide Cathie showed deep background knowledge, had a friendly, open, funny and serviceoriented mind and made the tour an unforgettable experience. 100% recommended!
This was hands down the best part of our trip to Bath. Chris took us through the beautiful city of Bath then and now. I absolutely recommend it to anybody visiting Bath.
All I can say is Wow, I can not believe this tour was free. What an amazing tour of Bath. Our guide, Andy, was excellent and always ensured that everyone could hear what he was saying and that he didn't lose someone along the way. We learned so much about the history of Bath and all its beautiful architecture and interesting people. The tour is around 2 hours long and approximately 2 miles of walking. Thank you, Andy, for spending your time to show us your amazing city. We hope Bath won the rugby
Had the pleasure of going on the two hour walking tour in Bath with our fantastic guide Terry who gave a great overview of Bath's history showing you the popular and hidden gems of Bath. He was so welcoming and knowledgable and the whole experience was a great mixture of the city’s history alongside some more modern anecdotes and funny stories. Can’t think of a better way to explore Bath and learn more about its history, it was amazing - and free! Thank you very much Terry, you were brilliant.
Our guided tour was absolutely brilliant!! Clive was so welcoming and knowledgable, the whole experience was a great mixture of Bath's history alongside some more modern anecdotes and funny stories throughout. Cannot think of a better way to explore Bath and learn more about its history, it was amazing. Thank you very much!!
We were lucky enough to be standing at a sign advertising a free tour when a lovely man called Andy came over and offered us to join. His tour was so interesting and informative, it ended up being our favourite thing during the whole visit. He painted a great picture of history as we strolled through Bath and found the time just flew by. Andy, thank you for an amazing time, we enjoyed your tour and company so much. I hope you get the recognition you deserve as you are an asset to Bath
We were not planning on doing any tours, but I'm glad we did. We were lucky to get to the meeting point just as the groups were forming. We spent aroun 2 to 3 hours walking aroun Bath with our guide Adrian, who showed us the sights and told us about the history of Bath. It was super fun, and since we were only spending one day in the city, it was a great way to see everything. 10/10 would recommend.
