Stopped off in Newcastle before an early flight, the Tap was opposite our hotel. Some lovely beers, friendly, helpful staff and a lovely pizza and salad too. Would really recommend and we’ll be back next timeFood: 5/5
One of the best selections of beers in Newcastle. Something for every palate from lagers to sours through to stouts and porters. Also super friendly service and the pizza is good!Food: 5/5
1st time visit. Staff very friendly and attentive. Was busy having just had Newcastle play at home and a festival cancelled so the town is buzzing. Service was quick and items fair priced. In the picture is the cluck cluck chicken top and the bottom one is the American dream. Both were very nice, and the pizza dough amazing. Would recommend to anyone fancying a nice pint in a good atmosphere wanting a decent pizza that won't break the bank. 12" or 18" are your option, we both had 12". Quite a unique surrounding as one of the picture shows the cellar is actually above the bar. Looks amazing.
The pizza was really nice and the staff friendly and helpful. The beer selection was a little bit dull for me but what they did have on tasted good. Also, there’s no customer WiFi.
Great bar with a fabulous selection of ales and helpful and knowledgeable bar staff ... A very pleasant experience especially having come from a horrible experience at Brew Dog.Service: 5/5
Finally came here after walking by so many times. The other reviews you read about the staff being great and the food being tasty are spot on. The pizzas were tastier than they had any right to be. The selection of beers is great and the prices are reasonable for city centre. Perhaps the best bit about this place is the staff. They're clearly hard working and they still find time to be kind to customers spanning a wide range of ages. We will recommend this place to friends and we will return because the staff, the food and the drinks are all so ace. Glad we called in. Can't wait to return. Vegetarian options: Loads of veggie options on the menu vegan options too.
Experienced brilliant service here after the Great North Run. Staff were very understanding, kind and welcoming. Lovely setting, a righteous pint and a delicious pizza. My new first stop off the train in Newcastle. Thank you.Food: 5/5
Dog friendly pub close to central station. Has good cocktails by the looks of it good pizza too. Would go back 10/10Food: 5/5
I didn’t try the food but it sounded great. The drinks were good. No wifi in the bar which was a bit of a shock, given how close the place is to the train station! Atmosphere was a bit quiet early in the day but that’s to be expected! Great location. Toilets were a bit odd - lights didn’t come on for ages
Fab bar, with a great choice of beer and cider. Lovely atmosphere and very central. Pizza also looked great although we didn't try it!Food: 5/5
