Just a one night stay...but it was FAB!! Thoughtful, courteous hosts with just the right amount of interaction. Informative regarding the local amenities and friendly without being OTT. Loved the house and interior...it was stunning! The breakfast was delicious! I'd definitely go back.
Gorgeous accommodation, warm hospitality and great location. We felt like we were on a film set, beautiful interior decoration and design that we spent a long time admiring. The host, Leslie was kind and knowledgeable in pointing out all the great things to do & places to taste in town; and was flexible in our outing schedule in providing breakfast. Good breakfast but the bread isn't fresh.
We had a wonderful stay at Moorlands. Leslie and Simon are incredible hosts and as another reviewer said it was like 'visiting family'. We had a lovely room and because there was nobody in the adjacent room Leslie gave us access to enjoy the window seats where we were able to sit and enjoy the amazing view over the Clyde. We also appreciated the pots of tea Leslie made for us each afternoon when we returned from our trips. Helensburgh is a great base for many activities and Moorlands the best accommodation for your visit! And then there's the beautiful garden! Thank you Leslie and Simon.
My girlfriend and I stayed for two days for a wedding nearby lodges on the loch. We had a wonderful time!!! Lesley was so accommodating and her breakfasts are perfection. Can’t recommend enough. I’m delighted we stayed! Nearby activities: The location of the B&B made it ideally placed for a shaft walk to hill house or down the the water. Helensburgh upper is a short 3 min was form the B&B.
Absolutely beautiful place. We has a very comfortable bed with 2 sofas in our room which was en suite. The house keeper and the owner couldn’t do enough for us and made us feel very welcome. Great greeting on arrival by Margaret, very friendly. Would recommend this Victorian house to anyone it’s amazing. Perfect for Helensburgh. Loved our stay x
Amazing stay and amazing hosts who from minute 1 made us feel at home. They were kind and warm, the right amount of chatty. We were absolutely delighted. The bathroom was unique, the bedroom fantastic, classy but cosy with a nice view upon the garden and further away, the loch. The breakfast nicely cooked and brought at your table in a homy atmosphere. The hosts recommended us places to eat and rent a bike around: really helpful. Great location right next to Helensburgh Upper station, a 2 mib walk. Definitely want to repeat! The sweetest stay in Helensburgh.
Moorlands B&B is such a lovely property, and Lesley and Simon are exceptional hosts! My husband and I kept saying it felt like we were visiting family while we were there. The room was a very good size and the bed was so comfortable! Also, Lesley made sure there were great breakfast options for us gluten-free + vegetarian. It's really close to Loch Lomond + don't forget to get ice cream at Dino's while you're there!
The house is beautiful, with a gorgeous view from the bedrooms over Helensburgh. Opulant decor, but very comfortable at the same time. Really friendly welcome and the hosts were extremely helpful. Would definitely stay again.
My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay. A warm and cosy b&b. Margaret looked after us, she was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The location is great - only a few minutes from the front and about 15 mins drive from Balloch.Rooms: 5/5
One of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed in! The house is stunning and the beds were incredibly comfortable. I felt very welcomed throughout the entire weekend. Would definitely recommend a visit!Rooms: 5/5
