I stayed in room 110 during May 2024. My room was dated, depressing, dull and worst of all, dirty. Around the edge of the bed was filthy. The fabric of the room was shocking, to the extent that the woodchip paper was detatched from the wall behind the headboard due to damp. There was no table, an open cupboard space and no case stand.nThe bathroom was in a similar state.nThe tea tray was the only extra in the room, but some days only partially replenished.nThe hotel needs some serious investment. The room rates are mid-priced. There is much better accommodation locally, some with parking.nThe pub closed at midnight but there was a ridiculous amount of drunken noise outside every night until 3 in the morning, and then deliveries outside from 5 AM.nThe room was pre-paid but I left early as the place was intolerable.nHowever, the staff were doing their very best with a very poor set of tools!

Called in while on holiday last week. Looked really nice from the outside but when you enter it’s like a big old room that echoes quite a bit. I know Wetherspoons generally lack atmosphere but this took it to another level. Bar lady was acting like it was a chore to serve me and the toilets smelled strongly of urine

After a long walk we just needed a nice drink on the way back .. after waiting ages for anyone to appear behind the bar we were toldno dogs inside or out.. inside i can get just about but outside? What's that all about. Rubbish that what

Well run pub....not a rough place.  Clean tables etc.nStaff are friendly and helpful.  A nice view down through the town.....I noticed there are no rough individuals frequenting this pub ....sounds awful but true
