Only visited for a beer and free Wi-Fi. Good beers available: cannot speak of the food. Bar area of hotel is plain with little character.

This is a delightful pub with a restaurant and a bed and breakfast. We have visited here numerous times over the last few years and have always received a friendly welcome and great service. The food is good honest pub food with at least two vegetarian courses. The Thai curry is delicious and extremely tasty, the cod and chips are first class as is the Scampi, I would say that the chips are some of finest I have tasted crisp with a soft fluffy inside. We have tasted the deserts but as these can change daily i am not going to recommend one but they are always tasty. The pub has some delicious real ales such as Butcombe and Exmoor Gold. The food is freshly prepared and the service is always excellent.
