Very disappointed. Booked online for bed & breakfast with parking. Got there & had to argue over a parking space . Then the staff moved a car to accommodate a guest! Asked if we could have room service after a long drive & told that strictly no food or drink were permitted in the room even though the room had tea/coffee facilities & it had a restaurant/pub downstairs. Eventually get to bed after having an upsetting day at a funeral. The bathroom facilities were minimal with only a tiny bar of soap provided. The floor had the loudest creaking noises when walked on. The room faced a very busy road with windows directly looking into the room so showering, getting dressed etc had to be done with the curtains drawn as there was nothing else protecting our privacy. The mattress was so old it had hard waves of lumpy springs. My partner got up to use the bathroom & was injured by a very dangerous spike protruding through the mattress. We advised the reception & showed a picture we had taken who just said “sorry about that”. Came away exhausted & angry that we could have stayed elsewhere but read the reviews & thought we had made the correct choice. Could carry on but I’m assuming if the staff attitude has been adopted from the top then I doubt I’ll even get a response. We’ll see ! Would never stay there again !!

No access to your room, no lift if you are disabled ♿, it a nice place to stay and lovely but there is a lot of steps,. It is also dog friendly. The staff were friendly. And if you want you can take away a bacon and egg butty, if you do not want breakfast. Disabled ♿ toilet is downstairs. Please have your own key.

Fantastic food and fantastic service. I've visited Stones in Minehead twice, first time in April and second just before Christmas. Both times exceptionally pleased with the quality of the food. Their wood fire Neapolitan pizza's are delicious, cooked fresh while you wait. Staff are friendly and always willing to help out wherever they can.

It is fine. The room was clean, staff pleasant. The downstairs decor is very dark. It could be clean or dirty but one would never know. Good breakfast.
