Nice place with a rich history available there for the guests. Cute and spacious room and bathroom, exposed beams and bricks. Loved the river view. Great breakfast menu, but a shame that it was served until 10am, should go on later!! Very recommended overall Rooms: Cute and spacious room and bathroom, exposed beams and bricks. Carpet floor. Blackout curtains which allow you to sleep in comfortably till late Nearby activities: Walk distance to the city centre
Very nicely suited hotel on the canal, Easy connections to all parts of the city and the river walk is amazing. Breakfast was nice and relaxing and with lots of options. Staff where very friendly and rooms were clean with the exception of the roof of the toilet. The water pressure does change depending on when you use the shower. Otherwise it was a great room. The main area of city is a 10min walk away. The bar itself is open until midnight and has very friendly staff with affordable drinks. We would love to come back
We came for a conference and enjoyed our stay in Manchester. This hotel is lovely, comfortable and clean and I was really impressed by the friendliness of the staff in all departments. At the front, in the restaurant, cleaning the rooms, fixing the elevator; all were kind and friendly. Some hotels are really cheap with their amenities. This hotel was generous. Nearby activities: Shopping and Museums Walkability: Close to everything. Shops, groceries, sightseeing
Staff are really lovely and welcoming. Room was nice but toilet was not clean and dirty teaspoons were not replaced. Room had lack of lighting. Bed was uncomfortable therefore not great sleep for the 2 nights. Location of hotel is very good. Hotel in general is nice and clean.
I had a few bad nights here, unable to sleep. Staff got me differently pillows one night at 3am, then the next night 3am, a member of staff came and chatted to me outside, offered a pair of slippers i was bare foot, some tea, and were generally lovely. We had to swap rooms at once point due to a maintenance issue, and that was a painless experience, too. Left my glasses in the outside area one day... staff went to look, but unfortunately, they couldn't find them at the time.. I did get them back the next day as someone did find them I will be bringing my own pillows next time, but I think this is a "me" issue rather than the hotel's issue my friend slept, no problem ‍. Not far from town, about a mile away from everywhere I wanted to go.
Lovely hotel on the canal, 10-minute walk to St. Peter's Square for the tram and a 15-minute walk to Manchester Victoria train station. Lovely bar, very friendly and efficient staff. The room was exceptional on 2 different levels and very comfortable...looking forward to my next stayRooms: 5/5
The staff is lovely but the room was built for Hobbits. Tall people be warned. I booked a night between flats moved house so I could get extra-good sleep for the 2nd half of moving, but I got the worst sleep ever due to the noisy elevator waking me up frequently - even with earplugs and white noise. Live and learn.Rooms: 3/5
Hotel staff is very customer orientated providing a good guest experience. I recommend to stay here. Well kept hotel in a good location, easy to navigate Manchester City centre simply by walk. You don’t need to stay near Piccadilly Station, stay here. I recommend to book superior room: you get comfortable room with best views and amenities. Only minor issue was the small gap between a door and floor to the hallway but I slept undisturbed. Decent breakfast with an omelette of your choice. Walkability: Easy to navigate via Deans Gate whole city centre. Noteworthy details: In the end of January there was scraffoldings on the riverside wall. And next to the hotel a skyscraper construction on day time only.
I was there for a week and it was amazing!! Heritage style hotel rooms!! Very good housekeeping and breakfast was amazing!! Great options for vegetarians as well!! Also this is in a prime location and you can go to fancy restaurants and places nearby like art galleries etc.Rooms: 5/5
Popped in for a tour of the hotel in advance of a business booking. The conference facilities are great, the bar/restaurant were fab, and the rooms are very nice for the price. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here. Lots of outdoor space for the summer too.Rooms: 5/5
