My recent stay at Hilton Manchester Deansgate was nothing short of a disaster. Despite having stayed at various Hilton properties worldwide, this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. Upon arrival, my room was dusty, and the cooling system wasn't working. The floor and furniture were dirty and discoloured with visible spots—completely unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed calibre. To make matters worse, the staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. Despite repeated requests, no issues were resolved in a timely manner. I was left waiting on the phone for hours and forced to visit the front desk multiple times, only to be met with further delays and no solutions. Even something as basic as getting water delivered to the room turned into an ordeal, and when it finally arrived, it wasn't even cold. This stay was meant to be a birthday celebration, but instead, it became a nightmare. I had heard good things about Hilton Deansgate from friends and colleagues, but it turned out to be the worst hotel experience of my life. The condition of the room, coupled with the lack of customer service, made this stay deeply disappointing. Hilton Manchester Deansgate has truly tarnished my view of the Hilton brand. I strongly advise others to avoid this hotel.
Living Well swimming and spa. Small pool but ideal for what I need it for. Very quiet when not term time holidays. The disabled facilities are clean and all the staff are lovely. There is a steam and sauna room which work very well and there is also a jacuzzi near the swimming pool.Service: 5/5
Customer service here needs improving. Disappointing. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few nights for a getaway and to see if we enjoyed it in general, as I was looking to stay here again for my birthday. The gentleman we booked in with kept offering us various deals which we politely refused. He offered us the breakfast at a discount and we said we’d consider this later and get back to him. When we spoke to him we asked for breakfast for the both of us for ONE morning, he asked if we wanted it for both Monday and Tuesday and we made it VERY clear it was just for the Monday. The morning we arrived for our breakfast, we were informed that only one breakfast had been paid for and that the second breakfast would be an extra charge. This annoyed us as we made it very clear with the gentleman we wanted breakfast for the both of us, but we accepted the extra fee so we could sit down and enjoy our breakfast without further hassle. She also then asked my boyfriend if we wanted breakfast for the Tuesday morning as well, to which he made it very clear it was a NO. When my boyfriend had his deposit returned, he had been incorrectly charged for breakfast for both Monday and Tuesday morning and despite him calling them and explaining that he’s been overcharged and also filing a complaint, it still hasn’t been resolved and this hotel still owes him money. It’s a shame really because we really loved the room and the experience overall but due to the poor customer service, I’m unsure if I’ll be coming back for my birthday and I’m really disappointed that we weren’t listened to by both the people we spoke to.
Great hotel with amazing views and bars/restaurants. staff are always very helpful when needed and always make sure your stay is as it should be. Libby is great and helped me a lot over the phone with any questions in regards to my booking.Rooms: 5/5
Rooms were really tired and dated not what I would expect for the money. Pool area is very small and super overcrowded. Plus points hotel is in a great location some really cool bars and restaurants close by.Rooms: 3/5
I recently stayed at the Hilton Manchester on a Saturday, and it was, without a doubt, one of the most devastating experiences I've ever had in a hotel. From the moment I stepped into my room, I was met with utter disappointment. The room was poorly cleaned, with visible dirt and grime that made me question if it had been cleaned at all. It was truly appalling to see such a lack of basic hygiene standards at a supposedly reputable hotel. What made matters worse was the complete disregard for customer service. I called the front desk multiple times, desperately trying to get someone to address the cleanliness issue, but my concerns were ignored time and time again. It felt as though my complaints fell on deaf ears, and the staff couldn’t care less about the state of the room or my experience. As if that wasn't enough, the ordeal didn't end when I checked out. I was supposed to receive my deposit back, along with compensation that had been promised for the subpar experience. But, shockingly, neither was returned to me. The hotel simply decided to keep my money without any explanation or apology. This level of negligence and dishonesty is absolutely unacceptable. To say this was a shitty experience would be an understatement. The Hilton Manchester failed on every possible front—cleanliness, customer service, and basic honesty. I will never, ever suggest this hotel to anyone. If you value your peace of mind and hard-earned money, stay far away from this place. It was a nightmare I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
My friend and I stayed here for a night in February. We had an amazing time! We arrived slightly early and the guy on reception allowed us to check in early. The room was clean and provided stunning views of the city! The pool was slightly cold but we spent most of our time in the hot tub. The executive lounge was the perfect place to grab an evening drink and all drinks were complimentary, including the alcohol! The lady working in the executive lounge was super lovely and friendly! Overall the experience was amazing! We will definitely return and have already recommended this hotel to friends and family!
A well looked after Hilton property. Clean and tidy. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Cocktail bar upstairs is worth a visit, and breakfast is great. Parking over at NCP, just over the road. Electric charging available.
Hilton is synonymous with 5 stars! Unfortunately, Hilton Deansgate does not. Our room smelt of smoke, there were dirt marks on the carpet, we had a towel with a hole in it! Clouds Bar was great for cocktails and views. Staff generally good. However, I needed change and the receptionist said the hotel does not hold cash. She sent me to the bar, at 10am. The waitress said the bar does not operate at that time. Surely a 5 star hotel can assist guests in a better way. In conclusion, Hilton Deansgate does not meet the 5 star standards I have come to appreciate with the Hilton brand.
Looking very tired not worth the price. Currently staying here and very Disappointed. Stains on carpet, broken tiles in bathroom damaged furniture, wonky furniture. Small pillows More like a star hotel. And a constant humming noise from above somewhere At check in not told breakfast times, or where breakfast would be, not told where the bars and restaurant were, or anything else, not a 4 star service, even the info part on the television does not work Rooms: Tired needs sorting out, will not be coming again.
