First time in donkeys since I’ve been here. Decided to meet a couple of friends who have never been in this pub before. They liked it so much they want to go again. A great welcome from all… locals, residents and staff. Stefan the landlord and Donna his bar manager are brilliant, we felt so comfortable and welcome. A great pub, that’s held its charm. Thank you everyone for making us feel at home x
Terrific pub. John, the landlord, is welcoming and serves an excellent pint. The regulars were also welcoming and the beer was spot on! Decent price too at £3.50Service: 5/5

I am disabled with a terminal illness, they let me bring in my mobility scooter into the pub, they are so understanding with my condition. The staff are very friendly good mannered, not only that in these days I feel that I can't go into town at night because you hear on the news that someone has been attacked, but in my mind I can go into town go into The Lord Nelson pub, have a great time in the company of other people and feel safe. Then I can just call for my taxi or even the staff will call for one on your behalf and that is why I have put this review, and I have given 5 star rating but if the rating was higher I would give a 10 star rating. Thankyou to you all at the Lord Nelson cheers Craig.
Went in at 6pm, on a Friday and it seemed a bit dull and unlively. Didn't have food, so I can't comment on that. But swift service and decently priced. Toilet floor was covered in urine though.Service: 3/5
