Can't sing the praises enough of this place. Never been before and wanted lunch before the train to Manchester. Varied menu even for a Sunday. Ordered a roast dinner and Fish & Chips. The batter was unreal, unbelievably crispy and the fish was fresh. Portion was perfect but the chips were the highlight. The roast dinner was also cooked to perfection and went down a treat. The pub is really cosy. Will definitely come back when I'm next in Sheffield.
Friendly and helpful staff and nice big pub with pool tables and food. The food was ok. Good deal for a pie and pint on Mondays.Food: 3/5
Smaller pub, just on the edge of the city centre and close to Sheffield Hallam University main campus. Staff are friendly, although service sometimes a little slow, with poor listening skills on occasion wanted meat and potato pie, but rather than say it wasn't available and state the alternatives, my friend kept being overridden with "so steak and ale pie?" Food good quality and reasonably priced. Will definitely return.
Start to finish, loved this experience… 2 home cooked Sunday Roasts delicious and a bottle of red wine for £30… crazy value for money… this is a must if you’re craving a Sunday Roast in central Sheffield… don’t even think about going anywhere elseFood: 5/5
The Roebuck is modern, spacious and has a good atmosphere. Enclosed beer garden and pool tables inside. The place is immaculate throughout with friendly professional staff. I called in for a sunday roast they have plenty of other food options on the menu and wasn't disappointed. Reasonably priced and very nice, the seasoning was spot on. Highly recommend and would return.
Really nice homely food at a reasonable price. We had the vegetarian burger and the Korean tofu sarnie. We opted for chips with both and they are easily the best chips we’ve had in ages. Vegetarian options: There are plenty vegan and vegetarian options to choose from.
Well sized pub with covered outside seating. Food is excellent, a step up from fare you'll find in most places. Great beer selection as well, with 6 cask ale taps providing a good range.Food: 5/5
Food is some of the best pub food in Sheffield, with a few unique twists. Went here about 5 years ago and the food was sh*t. When here on the corronation, and wasn't expecting much ..... but when it arrived it was well cooked big portions for the price, interesting sides . They had chopped large sausage instead of chips....everything was nice.....the wings where had alto of batter but it was crispy and well seasoned .....there's alot of bad pubs in Sheffield....this definitely isn't one
It's difficult to be a city centre pub but this one does it very well. Really good, reasonably priced food, a nice, ever changing selection of real ales and a good atmosphere. The staff are brilliant.Food: 5/5
A proper pub! Nice layout with plenty of seating area and space. Good selection of interesting beers. Outside space looks good but it was raining for this visit.Service: 4/5
