Beautiful back to nature site Woke up to ponies under our awning in the shade. Peace was spoilt by a house being renovated adjacent to the campsite but bet otherwise it would have been very peaceful
This site had an odd feeling about it. Not sure why but went home a day early. Not sure I'd return. Matley Wood is a definite favourite and would go there again many times before coming back to Longbeech.
Longbeech is a favourite of mine, it is a unique site in the heart of the new forest. Animals including horses, deer, cows and pigs all roam freely on the planes and in the forest with any number randomly appearing in the camp site. The site itself is nestled deep in the forest so you feel completely disconnected from the stresses of normal life. There are a number of lovely pubs within walking distance too, some a really quant old pubs such as the Royal Oak which really is a treat others such as the sir Walter Tyrell and the Green Dragon offer a great selection of food and plenty for the kids to do. If your a tent camper you will need your own toilet as there are no facilities on site except an Elsan and tap! All in all, I love this site and am sure you would too! Must be a reason I’ve been coming for fourth years I guess!
Brilliant Forest site. Sheltered under mature oak and beech trees. Ponies, deer and cattle graze on the site. No toilets, so bring your own. Pick up the permit from nearby Ocknell campsite.
After spending many years staying at setthorns it had become increasingly difficult to find a grassy pitch for our large tent due to all the seasonal caravans so we decided to try Longbeech, what a hidden gem, lots of nooks and crannies to camp in, it was so quit we didn't get out the swing ball as we didn't want to disturb the peace!! Perfect for dog lovers/walkers without children!
Quiet and peaceful, no facilities so you need a chemical toilet. Very beautiful environment, with many walks and cycle routes.
Quiet place. Friendly staff. Convenient for walking/ cycle paths. Just remember you must have a chemical toilet and there is a bit of noise from the road.
Lovely place. Peaceful.
Well managed beautiful site,no more to add.
A back to nature campsite. No Toilets No Showers just drinking water and waste disposal. Perfect
