Applied for a role in the college, got invited for an interview and I was explicitly told that I would be informed if I was accepted for the role the end of that week beginning 26th August or latest the beginning of the following week week beginning Monday 2nd September. It is now 23rd September and I have received nothing! I have sent follow up emails, but to no response. It is extremely unprofessional and annoying to be kept in the dark about the status of my interview.
READ THIS! If u genuinely care about your son’s/daughter’s or your future DO NOT! go to Lewisham College. Almost every staff member/ teacher is constantly in a mood, being rude or disrespectful for absolutely no reason, they have no patience for the students, students get treated more like little children rather than adults and young adults preparing to enter the work industry. They are extremely unorganised, you could ask one teacher/ staff member the date for a lesson or meeting and they will tell you the wrong date or not even know themselves, students who are supposed to receive funds for bursary and travel get nothing or a small percent. The staff will blatantly ignore calls if they are just not in the mood or don't want to talk to that person, they even say things like I quote “I'm not dealing with that”. The moment the college is informed about OFSTED is coming for an inspection staff have a whole new personality, bullying and mental health posters and Students are bribed with new events and free food to say certain things to make the college sound good. The teachers easily lose work folders, booklets and photo evidence of student’s work and progress, forcing them to restart their work from the beginning to catch up, which is extremely stressful and unfair for students. Lewisham College is a serious lie do not go there unless you want to have problem after problem and waste your time.
Be aware of misleading information, NEVER apply and go to South Thames/LSBU Wandsworth College if you know better. You have been deserved by receiving comments by scammer on Facebook reviews as well. I’m not letting to do so.
I made an email inquiry with both Lewisham college and Morley's college regarding enrollment six months on no response from Lewisham college. I did get a quick response from Morley within just few hours of my query I am wondering what the student are going through
Wish me luck in choosing the right school
Would definitely avoid this extremely poorly managed organisation. I called through a few days ago and when someone finally answered, the male was constantly in a rush to get off the phone. I was enquiring about the level 2 electrical installation course. I was told to go in and enrol, I asked if that would be ok because the course had already started, his reply was yes yes just come in, we'll fit you in..... I turned up today, alot of mixed messages flying around. Was sent to Admissions, then back to reception, was told to just sit and wait, then told reception needs to contact the department for someone to come down. Then realised the receptionistmalejust emailed and not called up, that was after 1.5 hours waiting. Finally the female reception called up and they said sorry no space left. What a waste of my time. I was so shocked at how badly managed this place was. I really felt sorry for the poor kids currently attending this college for an education. Their foundations are terrible, I wonder how their classes are??? This experience was absolutely shocking.
The open day was chaotic without structure to speak with individual matters and needs. I didn't like it at all.
Definitely one of the worst educational facilities on this planet. They will send you an email to confirm your place on your chosen course and then once you call them to chase up about the assessment they will tell you that they cannot find you on their system; and if I hadn’t called them first I would have been mislead. The staff don’t want to deal with enquiries by any means and they will cut the call on purpose so that they no longwr have to deal with your concerns and then proceed to ignore the follow-up call. If you want a smooth-sailing college experience avoid this one.
The worst college ever. Some of the teachers are super rude. I have finished level 1 at AAT and asked my teacher for enrolment day, was told the date, as I have arrived was told it is wrong date. I came to one more time to enrol, was finally enrolled but never got any emails to when the course would start ect… was on the phone for half of the day and finally someone answered, was told it will start 11th of September, I double checked if he is sure and was reassured to come 9.30, sounded a bit annoyed. No emails from college, I came to college once again to find out that my starting date has been moved to 18th of September and no one bothered to inform any of us. What a disrespect to students, what a waste of time. Enough is enough, decided to quit the college.
I am a student of level 4 Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, it has been a journey that I personally have to thank Donna the tutor, who gave me the opportunity to develop and grow myself.
